Enjoyed here a delicious lunch. Enjoyed the good service and friendly staff. The food consist mostly of traditional Czech cuisine, you have to get used to that. The prices are very friendly. It's definitely worth to visit

We decided to grab lunch here on our first day in Prague based on the reviews on TripAdvisor. As some of the others noted, there's no process for seating with no staff to direct you to your seat or a waiting list of any sort. There was a sign saying to find your own table and given it was very... More

While this cafe has solid food and the rooms have a nice atmosphere, but the seating process is a bit confusing, and there seems to be nobody assigned to direct the guests. It was very busy at dinner time, and the waitstaff were all in a hurry, so even though my meal was not rushed, I felt as if I... More

One of my favourite places to eat out in Prague. It has its own history and atmosphere. Good services, food, including traditional Czech quisine, and very costumers friendly prices. It's definitely worth to visit.

We were very hungry and so we took the most basic food you could choose from the menu (caesar salad and club sandwiches). But the food was awful. How can you ruin such easy dishes? The Caesar salad tasted like fish even though it was with chicken. The club sandwich was bland, just a random piece of bread from a... More

Great Czech food in a historic building. Not just excellent cuisine but excellent value. Every time I have visited the place has been full, but the staff are efficient enough that I haven't had to wait long.

I went here with two of my friends, and we were looking for a solid and tasty breakfast. And we got just that, with a tvist of a perfect croissant. The croissants were deliciously fluffy and with the perfect taste of butter. I got one filled with smoked salmon, and it was a little piece of breakfast heaven. I also... More

We went to this cafe for lunch - the tea and our mains were nice but the apple cake tasted like it had just come out of the fridge, it was so cold! The staff were also pretty rubbish. It took aaaages to get served and the waitress seemed in a permanent bad mood and was quite rude. The atmosphere... More

We found this cafe upstairs in a building. The entrance was a bit obscure, however when we entered the cafe it was remarkable. The food was excellent as was the price. We ate there 3 times during our visit and every meal was of great quality. Staff very polite and welcoming and were good at putting you at ease. High... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
