Our dinner was fantastic! I had the pear ginger duck, and my husband had the orange duck. Both were wonderful, as the sauces were amazing. The service was very attentive. I would recommend a reservation. The restaurant was quite busy, and I think we were lucky to get in without calling ahead.

Went here with my parents (American) and friends (Dutch) and could not be happier with this Czech restaurant. The Czech bottle of white wine that was recommended was excellent. Most of us opted for different versions of the duck which is their specialty and none of us were disappointed. My mom and friend both got the goulash which was also... More

In my opinion, it's an excellent restaurant: very nice decor, excellent service, and the food (particularly duck and venison) is great. Would visit at least once, when in Prague

Ate here last week. So good we went back the next night. Not cheap but if you want to have a posh meal in Prague.....This is it. Only observation: ask if you can be seated away from the piano. They have a piano player and if you are beside the instrument, it can get a wee bit distracting.

Dined here on arrival in the evening. Ate here as it was on the street of our hotel. Had the duck which was on the bone. The lamb was delicious. The duck was nice but I wouldn't have had it if I'd known it was on the bone. The restaurant was very quaint and traditional. It was roasting hot but... More

Restaurant is in an old house spaced over multiple levels with different rooms, giving a feeling of a smaller restaurant with a relaxed, cozy ambiance. Professional, charming English speaking staff. A piano player added to the great atmosphere. The three of us ordered a la carte, but tasting menus are available. Enjoyed the Czech red wines that our server recommended.... More

Good choose for who is searching for some local food. Service is great. The local is comfortable and very clean, but too old! Price is good. Recommend!

We found this restaurant by chance during a walk around the back streets of the old town, a very cosy feel about it and the food was top quality, typically Czech cuisine with a good wine list, highly recommend a visit if your in this area.

What a hidden treat! This eclectic and charming restaurant (I think translated as the blue duckling) was recommended by our hotel as a quiet, lovely place where locals go. We had one of the most delightful evenings I can remember! It is tucked away in a courtyard off the old square. The interior has a quirky vintage design and is... More

Dinner for two, Wednesday 8 March 2017 'U Modré kachničky' translates from the Czech as 'The Little Blue Duck (or Duckling)'. The restaurant where we dined, on the recommendation of good friends, was at Michalská 16, 110 00 Prague 1, Old Town. You will find a link on the website to the other, 'first', restaurant, also in Prague. This was our... More
