This restaurant is attached to the Museum Kampa, and is a handy place to stop for the excellent views of the Charles Bridge (Karlův Most) and the river. The food however, is just average, especially for the price. What ruined the experience is the waiter demanding a 10% tip on top of the bill, and was adding it on to... More

The food we had here was fresh and delicious. We tried the grilled salmon with salad and the trout. Both were perfect. The restaurant is located on the river side of Kampa Island, looking across to Charles Bridge. We now have some wonderful photos of the river and the Charles Bridge at night. All in all a place to go... More

This mid range restaurant behind Kampa museum is in summer a very nice place to sit. We didn't expect to much from the lunch but it was not bad. They served on an special way a fish board, the fish tartare was very good, a good dish. The waiter was not friendly maybe because of his poor English.

We had two burgers. Instead of french fries we recieved something Like "julienne" and the bulk was Very hard. The bad finish came when we recognized, that the meat is row in the middle of the burger. So we want to did not pay anytning, but that was not accepted. We will never come again!

At the end of September, we saw this restaurant during a river tour and wanted to dine alfresco on river and view St. Charles Bridge & the Locks. The surprise was how much we enjoyed our Chicken Risotto & glass of rosé wine. It was a nice afternoon and the island nearby offers water activities that looked like fun. I... More

It was our last night in Prague, the weather was perfect and the evening light lit the beautiful old town and the Charles Bridge. Beside us the river ran steadily passed. Tourist boats cruised and entered the channel leading to the locks. Nearby paddle boats floated around the mid-stream island. We ordered our meal from a diverse menu and sat... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
