My wife and I rounded off a fantastic break in Prague with dinner at La Veranda......and it was wonderful. Lovely vibe, fantastic service and the food was outstanding (I had the calamari starter and a halibut risotto from the daily specials). Well worth a visit!

Great restaurant. Meal was delicious and not too expensive for us. Where I come from it would have been double the cost. Flavours matched perfectly by the chef.

By far - this is the best restaurant I've been to in Prague. Great Italian food, very welcoming service. Very recommended. Don't forget to reserve a table ahead!

This restaurant has a great selection of seafood and meat! I tried the calamari, grapefruit ceviche and lamb belly and it was all delicious! The decor is quite pink but very cute. This would be a great place for a romantic date night or family gathering.

The food was good. There people were really nice. I've ordered the tasting menu and the selection was pretty much tasteful except for the Beef Tartare with smoked egg yolk (maybe its because I dont fancy raw meat). The service was really slow which made my experience a little bit unpleasant.

We walked by the restaurant the previous day and made a reservation on the spot, because the menu looked so nice. And were we in for a treat... The first course (foie gras) was perfect, packed with flavour. The second course: my girlfriend had the ravioli with squid and I chose the duckbreast. Both were exquisite and surprising. The duck,... This restaurant is truly excellent, with first class food and service. It is expensive for Prague, but well worth it. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, and tasted fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful, even offering us a tasting of another wine to compare with the one we had ordered. The décor is welcoming, and unlike some places... More

The service is truly amazing! They are very helpful, very polite and follow the rules of a Michelin star restaurant. The food is very good (there is a bit of room for improvement), the atmosphere is as smooth and romantic as appropriate (we had a table downstairs). All in all once in Prague I will visit again!

We went here for my Birthday and it was a lovely restaurant and we had two courses with beers and one glass of wine and was about 35£ each which was reasonable for this type of restaurant. The food was great but if you wanted big portions this is not for you, Highlight for us was the fish soup which... More

Staying in Josefov

Neighbourhood Profile
Josefov houses Prague’s Jewish community. This small neighbourhood centered around Široká street is completely surrounded by Staré Město (Old Town). As the former Jewish Ghetto, today all that remains are a few synagogues and the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in Europe. The narrow streets were once small enough that a person could touch the houses on both sides. You can still feel the dignity and history this neighbourhood carries in its legacy as Franz Kafka’s birthplace. Nearby streets are full of kosher restaurants, museums and antique bookstores.
