This part of prague is great but this restaurant is unfortunately not up to standard. The food is good, its traditional Czech food so not light but tasty. The main problem is the staff / waiters. They're very unpleasant and don't care at all about their clients, Czech or foreigners. It's well know for Czech so they avoid it. Apparently... More

I went along with a group of friends to finish the night at a local restaurant and we chose this particular one. The waiters immediately started being difficult to deal with while we got our orders through. They got irritated because we once asked for additional drinks after they got a round of beer. They slammed drinks on the table... More

Burgers and fries were really good, not a good selection of beers though. The service was.... Quick, effective but not very considerate. The waiter brought the beers quickly and slammed them onto the table, and then continued on to rip the empty pint out of the hand of some of other guy. Sooo I didn't really get a very welcome... We arrived 10 minutes late and were told that the table had already been given away on account of our lateness...his surly attitude to our polite request to be accommodated was extraordinary. In 15 years of living around the world, it would be hard to think of a similar experience. Atmosphere was bizarre, set off by an unusual soundtrack which... More

I ordered the Moravský Vrabecwhich was pork with bacon bits, red and white cabbage and dumplings. The food was really nice and cost 199 Kc (£6.30). Half a litre of Pilsner Urquell is 64 Kc (£2).- which I think was the most expensive beer I had whilst in Prague. Service was good and the food was good and I would... More

Relatively inexpensive eatery. Food was great. Really quick service. Only downside were a couple of people smoking.

A wonderful meal on our last night in Prague. We had three amazing meals of roast duck, rabbit and Wener Schnizel. An excellent starter of mixed meats and cheese and the staff were brilliant. Highly recommend.

Good place for Czech food at reasonable prices. We had pork and beef dishes both of which were filling and tasty. Non smokers go down stairs.

This place was recommended to us by our Hotel. The food was amazing, traditional and decent sized portions witha reasonable price tag. However this was overshadowed by the rudeness of the waiters, especially the waiter who had a strop when we gave our tip of 10% ( we thought that this was a good tip especially as he hadn't given... There was a lot of choice on the menu, the staff were welcoming and attentive, it doesn't break your bank either. Highly recommend. A pint of beer was £2, a koppaberg was around about £2. It cost us £24 for 2 starters, 2 drinks and 2 mains.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
