The service was terrible. Very long waits before anyone served us. When food arrived it was cold so I asked them to warm it up. When it eventually arrived it was half the size with no goulash sauce. I said that I no longer wanted it and did not want to pay for it. They threatened me with the police... More

Wanted a proper Czech restaurant ...what a disappointment- waited ages to have our order taken, when drinks & food turned up there were drinks & food missing, the prosecco was flat and the two main meals were stone cold!! We asked for it to be re-heated and 20 minutes later it turned up looking awfully dry with half the food... More

An idyllic and cozy basement restaurant with a selection of local dishes. Music wasn't too loud. Clean and nice. Service was good. The dishes we tried were good and freshly made from proper ingredients

We visited this restaurant as it was not far from our hotel and the reviews we had read. We wanted traditional Czech food and were not disappointed. It was a pleasant evening so we sat outside, service was friendly and efficient. We did not have starters but did have the bread left on the table. I had Roast Pork with... More

Went to this restaurant because of the good rating from tripadvisor. To my surprise, the restaurant was not that busy. When we went there there was only one table occupied. The staff was very friendly and hulpfull. They recommended us to share what we ordered since it was quite big and boy it was big. Even with the sharing we... More

Went there with a large group of eleven people. Staff was great and spoke fluent English. I took fried cheese as a starter and can honestly say that it was the best starter that I had during my whole trip in Prague. Stake that I had was well cooked and tasted really good! I have nothing bad to say about... More

It was ok. Nothing special, but the meal and service was good. There were apparently a meeting point for homeless people right behind the outside sitting area, and they had a big barking dog with them. The noise was a bit distracting and one of the drunk homless men came over to wish the guest 'bon appetit'. He didn't smell... More

We had to book the brewery room to ensure no smokers. The beer was excellent especially the white beer. Smooth and tasty and no heavy heads the next day. The food was excellent although we did steer away from knees and other traditional animal parts. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The brewery room has mellow lighting and a quiet... More

Excellent czech food served with a smile. Very attentive staff who helped us with choice of food and local wines (both excellent choices!) Really encourage to try their local czech wines which were excellent! Give it a try!

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
