5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 days ago NEW via mobile

Was recommended this place by various sources as a wine bar (which it is) but was also very impressed with the delicious food. The wine by the bottle is available for take away or to enjoy with your meal (add 100 kr) We had given Czech wines a good college effort over the last few days, but despite the learning... More

By far the best restaraunt in Prague and one I have visited several times now and will continue to frequent. The menu is so different from anything you will see anywhere else and the mixture of items in each course is fantastic and the service and way they explain everything is outstanding. Mike

I visited RED pif last weekend with friends, and I was amazed by the simple, yet so stylish interior. The atmosphere is laid back and very friendly, so when the food is served you are just blown away! You'd think this food belonged in a resturant with a totally different price range. It is fantastic! Super creative plates with tastes... More

Red Pif is really something special. The cuisine is a creative blend of Czech, French and Asian elements, served up in beautiful presentations by a knowledgable and friendly staff. These guys are foodies in the best sense: eager to nerd out over the intricacies of preparation and wine pairing, while remaining utterly unpretentious. In keeping with that, there's no wine... Modern Czech cuisine, scenic and tasty. Portions are perfect to make you satiated. I Tried soup and pork: amazing. Very professional service with precise explanation of this creative cuisine. Good wine choice, we went for a Czech riesling, very good and affordable price. Definitively a great choice if you are tired of Czech pork&Sausage at local breweries. The bill was... More

Chef Stephen Senewiratne has created a new menu that he introduced tonight. We enjoyed everything we chose. Scallops, celery soup, grilled perch and pinapple dessert. But just giving you the main ingredient in those dishes doesn't come close to describing them. Each taste has a pleasant surprise - interesting flavours, textures, and colours. Chef Steven will explain each dish to... More

Nice atmosphere, polite and prepared staff, but unfortunately not great dishes. We were 3 and we ordered 5 different plates. Good and fresh ingredients but too many things together.. a bit confusing.. you lose the Main element of the dishes between the tastes of the others. Too much sweet and salted together.

Have been to Prague a few times and always come back to Red Pif. Menu changes a lot but food is always really good! Can't understand how it's so low on the ranking list!

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
