Looks permanently closed ... Go somewhere else, the doors were locked and there is no Booze Bar sign on the building.

This bar/cafe is all right but it's location is not very desirable. I would stay down the hill more toward the main square unless you want the isolation.

The Booze Bar is nicely situated on the John's hill under the Prague castle. The position is unique also because of the location where there is the best atmospheric pressure in Prague. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. We visit this restaurant with our friends and enjoy coffee, beer and water and cola. The biggest and newest specialty is... More

Reasonable and good Czech food, cheapish beer, yummy mulled wine and a cute atmosphere. Around the corner from the bottom of Prague castle. A little hidden gem

Opposite of the Sax hotel is Booze bar. Great vibe and rich hot (thick) chocolate and home made cake. Also great for a pint of lager after a good stroll

We had found this superb beer bar on a previous visit to Prague and this was one of the first bar's we made a beeline to when we returned to Prague on holiday. It had been a roasting hot day and we had already been to a couple of nice beer bar's when we arrived at this bar,we got a... More

We found this place by accident when we went looking for another restaurant recommended by TripAdvisor users, which was closed. This little gem was only a few metres away and also had good reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. The bar was tiny and the menu options was also small but the beer and food was excellent. My son... More

Just of the main road to the Castle, but worth a stop. We stopped here on our second day, on our way back to our hotel for a quick drink. We stayed longer, and stopped here every day after for a drink. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the bar has comfy seating inside, and chairs outside, and is... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
