The Mandarin always does it right. Highly trained staff, outstanding food and service. We have stayed at many Mandarin Hotels and this property is so close to everything and this restaurant was wonderful.

I went few times at the restaurant and each time the food was between tasteful and delicious. The service was prompt, polite, almost friendly, which is a plus for Prague. The menu is international and Czech, blending of sorts. On the pricey side but if...More

Delicious and perfectly elaborated food. Simply the best thai (not just thai) cuisine and one of the very best places to eat in Prague.

Luckily we had the presence of mind to order each a different tasting menu so we could share our meals with each other. This way we both could experience not only delicious treats of the asian cuisine but also of bohemian cuisine. Needless to say...More

We had dinner at Essensia while staying at the Mandarin, it was very quiet even though it was during the New Year holidays, probably due to the limited menu. The food was ok but not over the top. There are many more fun and better...More

A gourmet meal, but without the gourmet price. Wonderful service and a great menu make for an outstanding dining experience. Plus you might see a celebrity or two dining in the restaurant.

Description
The inspired menu is the creation of Executive Chef Jiří Štift; determined to revive the Golden Era of Czech cuisine for today’s high gourmet levels. He has also selected dishes from Asia, each prepared for the purity of individual flavours. In the early 20th century Prague was a European culinary centre. Chef Štift has immersed himself in the archives and culled the best from earlier cuisine ambassadors to create a menu for the modern palate.
