We stumbled on this place while trying to find somewhere quiet around the Old Town. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the prices were fairly low and it had open shutters so we gave it a go. Very glad we did, as this is a hidden gem just a few minutes away from the Old Town Square!... More

The restaurant is not too big so you don't have too much noise. Service was very kind. And food was delicious. Very good value. The cabbage is delicious !

We went here on our first evening in Prague. We were planning on going to the restaurant Lokal, but there was no room. We searched for another place to eat and found this restaurant. We had a lovely goulash and svickova. We spent around 8 euros per person for food and drinks. Great value and great food!

A very nice spot hidden in a little street away from the main tourist track. The food was really good- tender pork ribs, good dumplings accompanied by well-seasoned cabbage. The helpings were big enough for two starving adults. Most of all, the whole experience was very affordable.

We have visited restaurant twice! The food was surprisingly good, what we didn't expect from budget restaurant. The traditional Czech dishes were fine, but the garlic soup, cheese with butter and onion (appetiser), and especially pork tenderloin in English bacon were delicious! Pity that the scatterbrained waitress forgot twice our orders.

We went here under recommendations and since this place was just near the hotel and we had 2 children we decided to go. It is a big local restaurant with 2 rooms one and entrance and a second one under the first one with a children corner where they can play Lego... They propose local specialities. We had goulash the... More

This little gem is off the main street and a typical Czech pub. The drinks were cheap and about half the price of the main tourist area.

Let me caveat this by saying I am a tourist. However, the environment and the food felt authentic to me and that is what I was hoping to find. And my meal was delicious. I was staying at a hotel a few blocks away and the front desk recommended this for real Czech food. The location is on a small... More

I have to say that in my life, being a vegetarian, I came across complicated restaurants, where the vegetarian option is not so obvious, however I was never so embarrassed as in this place. The only reason we were here was the fact that my sister isn't vegetarian and I wanted her to experience traditional food. The place had great... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
