We went the U Dominikana for my girlfriends birthday and it was a fantastic meal, good atmosphere and excellent service. We were apologised to because the background music didn't work so it was really quiet but that was irrelevant. The meal itself was really good and I tried the Pork Knuckle which was something I had wanted to try for... More

Part of the Savic Hotel, this restaurant is sited a stone's throw from the Old Town Square near the famous "Astronomical Clock" and trades on it's location. The food is very ordinary and I would not countenance it for dinner. For a quick traditional lunch of goulash and dumplings, it's passable.

Although not "cheap" the food was delicious! Had the Czech goulash and was surprised that the onions were raw but it was the perfect addition. Plus, the Czech dumplings were out of this world! Light and fluffy and perfect to soak up the leftover sauce!

We returned here having enjoyed superb food on our first visit. A real dining pleasure with ample quantities of brilliantly cooked meats and vegetables. Excellent service and good wine also. A perfect establishment in the heart of the old town.

This restaurant connected to the lovely Savic hotel serves excellent hearty food, duck, rabbit, pork and of course goulash dishes. Everything we samples was excellent and the price was very acceptable In the evening it's lovely to sit outside with a rug over your knees watching the world go by enjoying good beer or wine. Highly recomended

Beautiful restaurant in the old center and part of the Dominican Friary (but not run by them). Pity about the food. The whole menu very stodgy and meat laden, with few non-meat alternatives and those unimaginative. You'd think vegetables were banned. I ordered the pheasant which came with wedged potatoes and a berry sauce. The potatoes had clearly been cooked... More

My wife and I ate here on November 2nd and we both said it was one of the nicest and tastiest meals we have ever had ( and we go out a lot !). The table service was excellent and the staff were very attentive . I had the steak loin and it was delicious ....beautifully cooked and cut like... More

Looking for somewhere to have a snack before going to the airport and home we came across this place. I only wanted a burger, which when it came, was the best I have had for a long time. NB I don't normally eat fast type food. My wife had the goulash which was excellent. No alcohol was wanted so our... More

DONT EAT HERE! We've had the most amazing meals throughout Europe for the past 4 weeks and tonight we ended our running streak. Myself and my partner had dinner here and were sorely disappointed. The restaurant itself looks so appealing from the outside (we were unaware it was part of a hotel until we sat down.. our first mistake). The... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
