We thought we'd take a chance with this place, as it was our first night in Prague and we were hopelessly lost. As it happens, this was a blessing in disguise, as we had one of the best meals of the holiday at the Green Tomato. Considering the restaurant was nearly shutting up for the night, the staff were still... More

We are ending a Viking Tour, and wanted a break from - heavy Bavarian food. Walked across the street from the Palace Hotel and had really nice vegetarian pizza and salad. Beer, as always is less expensive than water in Prague. very casual - good food

This Italian restaurant has quite small tables and is not very big, hence intimate dining feel, great for couples too! Booking in advance recommended. The dishes were reasonably presented and delicious. The usual Italian dishes were in offer and we certainly would return here. It's very close to the Powder Tower which is worth seeing.

This is my favourite restaurant anywhere. The quality and value are outstanding. A really first-class meal and a delightful staff. Not only does it have all the necessary qualities of a great restaurant, but has the added attraction of the prettiest waitress in Europe. Anita is so beautiful, I have been in love with her for years.

I popped in randomly and ordered steak .... Advertised with Vegetables. I fancied chips so a added that to the order. For desert I had the hot raspberries, ice cream and cream. I can fault efficiency but the good was just ok ... It's s good job I ordered chips as it only came with aubergines. The raspberry dessert was... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
