The first thing you should be prepared for is that they do not accept credit card. Prices are very reasonable. Come prepared for this and enjoy your meal. The menu is quite limited with only a few options, but everything we are was terrific. I especially enjoyed the beef steak with the chef's secret sauce and shoe string fries. I... More

We always go here and drink or eat their great food. A great tip to the owner would be to stop let people smoke inside;) cigarette smoke and great food does not pair up.

Somehow you would feel there in between Cafe de Paris and Cafe Rouge, the close vicinity and the presence of the beautiful French Embassy may add to the feel. It's bohemian French edition. A limited choice, the steak is chewy, the pommes frites are perfect. The staff couldn't care less.

We were enjoying beautiful and sunny Saturday when we passed along this cafe. Good music, tables in the street, an older man next door like from an old movie just made us stay. Nice and friendly service, a bit "different" menu... I will definitely come back again. Thank you

Whilst filming in Prague, we were taken to this great little restaurant by our Czech Agency owner. Now, I'm sure this was all part of her friendship with the manager/owner, but we were treated to a wonderful meal. The staff were attentive and brought out specially requested dishes, all done to our liking, apparently going off menu. One thing we... More

I am traveling a lot. I think this restaurant doesn't care about reputation. Service: all waiters were grumpy Food: salat was horrible with too much vinegar, meat was with fatty streaks. I visited the same type of restaurant in Zurich, London and Lisbon. All of them has the same sauce, that not the same test in this restaurant. Maybe chef... More

Thank you for your New Year's contribution, which you sent us. Let me correct you the original recipe of Café de Paris sauce comes from Lausanne. You are comparing the incomparable. Your review has convinced us, however, to communicate with our satisfied guests on the quality and the service that we provide. We value the comparison with foreign competitors and... More

Consistently amazing food for the past 10 years that I'm visiting 2-3 times per year. The Entrecôte with its secret souse is out of this world! And wine selection is great too with super reasonable pricing...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
