Great cafe where we enjoyed brunch on a lazy Sunday, then followed up a couple of days later with a few afternoon beers. A place we would always head back to if ever in Prague.

If you're into literature and food then this is the place for you, luckily we're into both. The bookshop is small but full to the brim and the food we had was very nice; simple but large portions so nothing to really complain about.

I dined here for Saturday brunch with my boyfriend and his family. After we sat down, we waited to get our menus. Much to our surprise, the two tables behind us quickly filled up and were given menus as soon as they had sat down. After about a 5 minute wait, I finally got up myself to ask for our... More

A very popular venue with expats in Prague, a good starting point if you just moved to the city and want to socialize. Other than that, an interesting place to grab a bite, have a homemade lemonade, eat brunch or just stop by for a coffee. Friendly English-speaking staff.

Amazing place to have any kind of meal throughout the day. Watch out for the brunch menus on the weekend! The bookstore is a good addition for this type of cafe. Would not recommend as a working space though- can get quite noisy at times, but if you want to have a small talk with the staff or other visitors-... More

I'd looked at this place before I arrived in Prague and was so pleased I managed to get there for a coffee. It is really special to have a coffee shop with a book shop. The coffee, herbal tea, milkshake and cheesecake were all really delicious.

Really really nice place, the food is very good and satisfying, dessert is awesome. I've also been here before for breakfast, and it was incredible. They also have full English breakfast for my English peeps who can't do without their typical breakfast. Highly recommend it.

A really lovely environment and good food. Way bigger portion size than i was expecting. Was very disappointed by the service though. Not at all welcoming and at times rude at a time when they were not especially busy. Don't think I saw any of the staff smile once, but maybe they were just having an off day. Aside from... More

Good place to drink coffee, especially if you are a book lover. You can fell here like in a library. But you can't take a book and read it,you must buy it. But at least they have a big collection of books. Хороше місце, щоб попити кави, особливо якщо ви любите читати книги. Ви можете відчути, що ви в бібліотеці.... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
