It was the first place we went during our stay in Prague. Grumpiest waitress I have ever seen in my life. Beer was just thrown on the table and the "traditional Czech food" was not really delicious. I have left over more than 60% and the waitress didn't even wonder. Nothing more to say.

Traditionally great place to have lunch or dinner, with normal prizes and interesting decoration. Service is ok, only problem is finding a free table. There is a good exchange office near Provaznice, so many tourists go there after changing the money. And...order black Kozel, by my opinion the best beer in the world.

We went by a recommendation from a friend in Prague, visited this tavern in the afternoon to eat, and honestly we didn’t like it that much: the portions were quite small and their presentation was not striking. It was the first restaurant in Prague where we have had to order another dish in the same meal. The food is not... More

Quite good local dishes served quickly, you have quite a choice of different Czech mains and sides, there are also some vegetarian dishes and not just salads like in many other places. Beer very good (of course), price more than affordable. The restaurant was very crowded so don't expect the best service in the planet, although it was not bad.... More

A good place to recommend when in Prague. Good food, good prices. We were 16 of us and had different dishes to share; "Bowl of Prague",a mix of meat including duck, with gnocchi, (something new for us) but we enjoyed it. A local pub we fund by chance where we would return for sure; a relaxed atmosphere, you just feel... More

Just off the main streets of Prague. ( just to the side of New Yorker) eaten here many times over the years and never been disappointed cheap food, cheap beer and feels very local considering how central the bar is. Food is always great and traditional... always recommend this bar to family who go to Prague!

The Rough guide advertises this restaurant/pub as a local's place where you are unlikely To see other tourists. If this was The case, it certainly isn't now!! They have menus in multiple languages And seemed To cater for tourists far And wide. We had The goulash. It was OK, nothing special. I couldn't finish mine!! Drink wise I thought I... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
