Recommended !!! Try the potato/mashroom soup, the gratinated goat cheese and the salad. Salad has never been so delicious.

Yes, the prices are higher, but that is to be expected near a huge tourist attraction. The menu at U Cisaru is much more interesting than the pizza and sandwich places nearby. My husband's beef dish was wonderful, and my potato soup and salad were very tasty. The server was super friendly. For the convenience near the castle, it was... More

We stopped into this pub on the way up to the Castle. Tempted by the sign outside that said Venison Goulasch. It was a cold day and this sounded good. The inside is cozy and warm and pleasant. When the waiter asked for our orders we said we wanted the special - and he said 'there are no specials'. What... More

The restaurant was quite expensive, which is good to know, since there was no menu or price list to be seen outside the restaurant. Caesar salad was quite good but the greek salad was quite a small portion and the feta was not very good. Making a salad seemed to take quite long even though it was not busy. Service... More

I really enjoyed my dinner here. The food was great, the beer was sublime and the service was pleasant. Everything served at the table was well prepared and delicious. Highly recommended.

U CISARU RESTAURANT is a rather expensive restaurant but as we are on holiday it's not such a bad thing to treat yourself to a nice dining experience. We had just been up to the Castle district and on heading back into Mala Strana district we came across this superb looking restaurant. The place may not be to everyone's taste... More

We were part of a Trafalgar tour and dinner was at this restaurant. We were delivered by coach thankfully, as it's a long way up the hill!! Firstly the decor was quite interesting with some old muskets etc on the walls and hanging from the roof along with some other historic pieces and artwork. The meal was a set menu... More

Visited the restaurant on our way from Petrin Hill to Prague castle. It was a decent place compared to other restaurants in the area and the selection of food was okey. Food was well prepared and the staff were very courteous. Only downside was that they don't accept cards which meant that I had to walk back to the ATM.

I live in London and I`ve been in so many cities but this place is overpriced . For 2 cappuccinos and 2 small sparkling waters we paid 18,50 euros . Customer service was terrible as they giving you look like you are not welcome. I`m not stingy guy but felt a bit stupid to pay that much and not good... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
