We found this fabulous pub by chance a couple of months ago and were so impressed by the yummy food, great service and the welcoming building that we now travel from Hove to come for our Sunday lunch when eating out. With plenty of parking...More

Good location with plenty of car parking space. Had made earlier booking (essential) for 4 for lunch. Had requested table near open window if available - shown to ideal table just by open doors to terrace. Started with olives & fetta whilst perusing menu +...More

Food here nicer than the average pub but pretty expensive and very few veggie options. Good coffee and friendly staff. We went on a Saturday and it was fully booked inside, so book ahead.

Clearly a very popular venue, with a lively atmosphere.Despite being pretty full, service was swift, friendly and attentive. Food was great, with one or two out of the ordinary choices

We stopped to see if we could get a Sunday roast after visiting nearby Wakehurst. All the inside tables proper were taken or booked but we were offered a high table by the bar, this suited us fine. The restaurant is ran by a young...More

V disappointed. Popped in after the antique fair for a bite to eat with my Mum. We both ordered a ham and rocket sandwich, when it arrived it had obviously been pre frozen, wasn't even properly defrosted in the middle. I raised this with the...More

Love the revised menu - great choice of finger food which is ideal as a snack lunch and good to share - we choose a few different things - chicken lollipops, garlic mushrooms, whitebait, chunky handmade triple cooked chips to name a few choices. Staff...More

I visit here about twice a year while out walking round the nearby reservoir. I enjoy the choices on the menu, and the local bitters. I just wish places like this could have family rooms, as shrieking toddlers (this time) or 257 choruses of "The...More

We absolutely loved this place. All family events; even just visitors popping over to us; and just our usual once a week meal out would take place at The Gardeners Arms. The food was a little more expensive than your average pub but that's ok,...More

Always a favourite of ours is the Gardeners! Good friendly service the manager is always bright and friendly. It was packed but food came quickly, fish and chips, x2 fish cakes, one lamb, one pork roast cooked well. Potatoes could have been more crispy but...More
