Thanks Christian, remember that the prawn shack at the point is us too now, same type of products and same friendly service from Gary. Hope to see you again soon.
Love the seafood. Fresh and very tasty. Great variety. Service great and can order online. Especially good at Christmas. Always a favourite.
Hi Hester57, love to hear from our customers, and we are very happy you enjoyed the store. Look forward to seeing more of you.
Great to have Rufus King Seafoods just down the road from our holiday cabin. So good prawns, fresh as and good value to too. Thanks guys.
Hey Nick, Thank you for visiting us mate so glad you enjoyed your seafood. Hopefully you also got to enjoy the wildlife too.
They have a good selection of seafood - sardines from Pt Lincoln, local mullet, prawns etc, oysters. We had a kilo of med size Morton Bay prawns which were fresh and tasty. Staff were friendly, service good. Parking outside.

there are many things I could say about this local gem but I think 3 words sum it up. Boutique ,Friendly and Fabulous.
Well not often does one sum this place up in such a concise and articulate praise of three words! Thank you and we all hope to see you again here on Straddie real soon!
When my friends come over to stay on the island with me, we always go to Rufus King! And they never disappoint! We love the bay king prawns and Moreton Bay bugs, so yummy! Oh and the awesome seafood sauce tops it off 😀More

It’s only a small little seafood shop but sells the freshest seafood, we bought a kilo of the biggest and best king prawns we’ve ever had, absolutely delicious it was like eating chunks of lobster. Highly recommended.More
Thank you Jamesy and as they say, you can never judge a book by it's cover. We may only be a small seafood shop but the team behind it, is one big fishing family. Those King prawns come straight off the local trawler which docks...More

Thank you Sue, we truly appreciate the kind words in your review and feedback. Unfortunately we are in some extremely strange times and to be more truthful, availability is always down to good weather (oh and if anything's there). We would normal have a good...More
Just back from another trip to the island and stopped for oysters at Rufus King. There were some great looking prawns for sale as well but we stocked up on oysters and ate them overlooking the jetty at Amity. Plenty to browse here to with...seafood accompaniments.More

We've been camping on Straddie for many years and our absolute favourite place to buy seafood is Rufus in Amity Point. They have these massive prawns there that are the sweetest mouthful you can taste - I can taste it now just thinking about them....Yes they are expensive, but I will always pay good money for a good product. They are way better than the imported crap you get from the supermarket. A bit of tangy seafood sauce, a cold beer, barefoot in the sand, watching the whales swim by and the kids playing in the dunes. My kind of holiday. Can't wait for the straddie restrictions to lift so we can come back. First stop, rufus!More
It seems you've caught the Straddie Seafood Bug Dean, just the thought of fresh Straddie prawns makes you reminisce of those good times! We truly appreciate your review and the constant support of the local fishermen here on North Stradbroke Island. They may be slightly...More
It was cheaper to buy Straddie seafood in Capalaba as we saw places advertised lower prices when back on the main land. Very casual customer service. Very over priced for 'just off the trawler' and compared to Europe & the USA it would go out...of business within a month. Buy your seafood on the main land & bring it to the island and eat and look at the amazing view in Point Look Out.More
Dear TteAlpha, Based upon your other reviews posted same day on the island it’s unlikely you will return. However, it’s reasonable that everybody has a different experience while staying on Straddie, we do our best to remain competitive and, overall, feel we do a good...More
