Great place to sit down and grab a bite. Also, whilst there you can get to know locals and meet the artist behind the beautiful boathouse. Mouthwatering food is served in generous portions (so make sure you get size small when ordering drinks). Overall this is a great café, with friendly staff and delicious treats.

Must try the pies, fantastic. The crayfish pie was outstanding. Also tried the wallaby and steak and kidney. Local ingredients. King Island beef and Crayfish. The pastries looked delicious and those in our group said they tasted as good as they looked. Busy shop, early opening and good coffee. Really friendly staff.

We stayed on King Island recently for 4 days and stopped in at the bakery every day (atleast once). The staff are a highlight, very friendly. We sampled pies, pastries, cakes, slices, toasted sandwiches and the famous lobster pie which was delicious. Coffee was a little hit and miss however.

The bakery is in the Main Street between the Butcher shop and the pub.
There were over 30 pies on the blackboard and that didn’t include some that appeared to be specials. There was certainly a brisk trade in them each morning we were there.
Croissants were good and there was certainly a good range of other cakes, tarts, breads etc.
Unfortunately the coffee was not that great on any of the mornings we visited.

Started by having a coffee and a pie then ended up having a pie and pastry every day for the rest of my holiday. The food delivered by this little shop is exceptional with a good range and prices that are unexpected.
Friendliness of the staff made each visit a very pleasant experience.
I guess the lunch time queues by locals supports the above information.
Job well done staff .

I love this bakery, the bread, pies and cakes are yummy. They served hot drinks and we sat at one of the few tables, as heaps of people maintained a constant flow of customers. The service was very friendly even though part of my order took a while.

We visited so many time during our 4 day stay I lost count.
Sampled several of their freshly baked pies and cakes. I think the one with mashed potato on top was my favourite but their seafood pie was great too.
Their coffee was pretty good to and it’s just a nice place to sit and watch the street activity too.

Currie pie shop was a good lunch choice.
The crayfish pie is overrated but others good value. Nice thin crust good quality filling.

The staff were friendly,and kindly answered any of my questions as best they could about the island. The food is delicious! we went there quite a few times to get food and coffee's to go. You can sit inside and it looked like a lot of locals go there, which is a good sign. The food was lovely, fresh and reasonably priced.

The bakery is the hub of Currie. The best pies ever. We decided to grab a few pies for lunch the first day we were on the island. Then went back for coffee the next day
We will definitely be a frequent visitor during our stay

Great location overlooking Blackman's Bay beach, access to parking nearby modern and clean. Staff are professional, friendly and attentive. Menu has a broad of food and beverage options. Meals are attractively presented and very tasty.

Decided to indulge in party pies for breakfast on a recent golf trip to King Island. Pastry was perfect, and the King Island beef filling was even better. Coffee was pretty good and the lemon tart to finish was great.

Can't go past a bakery in a small town! Two visits in 5 days. Enjoyed the pies. Partner's pie was warm but not hot. Coffee and tea good. Friendly staff, good service. Happy to return on next visit.

Found a dead roach in my pie, will report to a local council. Dirty place, not recommended.
I couldn't believe it's possible in Tasmania.
King island is a beautiful place but this bakery is disgusting.

Excellent food, especially the great selection of King Island beef pies. The staff are very friendly and the coffee and hot drinks were great. There is a nice selection of sweet bakery products too. Eat in or takeaway.
Reasonable prices.
