Thanks so much for the review - glad you enjoyed your time with us at The Unley, Dayna!

In our minds, dinner at The Unley was going to be top notch pub food at a time when the kitchen wouldn’t be as flat out as usual, catering only to covid reduced numbers with great food and not having to stretch to the many...more that could presumably normally fit into such a large establishment. Wouldn’t call it top notch...... No dramas just no fireworks!! Schnitzel was dry and overcooked. 6/10 at best. And we cannot stand how pubs insist on ‘drowning’ chips with a big whopping schnitzel on top so they get flattened and soggy. Put the chips in their own vessel please!!! The pros: that they had pleasant cheery staff, that there was no issue whatsoever removing the tomato sauce from the parmi and that the booking process on the phone was flawless and welcoming. Cons: other than those mentioned it was just the wine prices: More than 100% markup isn’t on in a pub!!! The SB we had is at Dan Murphy’s for $17 and it was $41 at The Unley. Should have been $30 at most ....and when they have their own bottle shop on site that markup is just not right. It’s mostly the reason we wouldn’t repeat dinner at The Unley. Lots more pubs to try with better priced wines we are sure!More

The food, cocktails and ambience of the rooftop bar ticked all the boxes. Very happy with quality and quantity of food, served by friendly staff.

There were 8 of us catching up for Xmas. Although they have a great rooftop bar and eating area we decided on a table downstairs when we made our booking. At 1pm it was not very busy in the dining area and we sat down...with drinks while the rest of the family arrived. Because it was still Xmas time we had candy canes put in our glasses (a nice touch) There was quite a lot on the menu to choose from and they have specials each day with drinks. The 2 children chose from a childrens menu and the rest of us had a variety of dishes from the Unley Burger to Calamari, Chicken Snitzel and another had fish and chips. The men enjoyed one of the beers on tap and the ladies had wine. We got parking easily and walked through the pokies area to the dining room but that is not the only entrance. I believe they have 5 function rooms to choose from. They also in the dining room we were in had a fireplace for when the weather is cooler. We would definately go again.More

Having not visited The Unley before we thought from the outside that it looked nice so we decided to stop for lunch - Huge Mistake! When we were finally served downstairs, we purchased a Gin & Tonic and a Lemon, Lime & Bitters. The Gin...& Tonic was the worst I had ever had. We mentioned to the bar person that the drink did not taste good & he simply sampled some tonic water from the tap & stated that he felt it was ok. I assured him that the drink was not ok & that something was not right & he was totally disinterested. It tasted as though he had pressed the soda water/water button instead, but alas we got nowhere so that was a complete waste of $13.00. Next was the food - Another Huge Mistake We had a Gluten Free cheese & tomato pizza and fish & chips. The pizza was $20.00 but very small & poor value for money as well as incredibly bland. The chips were cold & the fish was 2 small pieces of fish that were more akin to large fish fingers & again very bland & very poor value for money. We left a note on the table as we were so disgusted with the service, drink, food & attitude of the 20 something boy who happened to serve us. Overall - A huge mistake, a complete waste of our hard earned $60, so very very poor. We will be sure to never return & will of course pass our feedback onto family, friends & colleagues as we do not want anyone else to be ripped off.More

Jumped into this great looking ‘hotel’ like building on the corner of Unley Street (I think) and what a surprise. We found we had dropped into a very nice, friendly environment. Good food selection - well priced - very good serving size. We enjoyed dinner...and a good variety of beer on tap. Thanks for the great meal.More

Last minute decision to go for dinner and arrived 6.30ish to be easily directed to a table for 2 on a Friday night. Pretty much standard pub fare mostly priced from $20 - $30 which I guess is the norm these days. Herself enjoyed the...chicken schnitty with pepper sauce, salad and chips. The chicken was nicely crumbed, moist and tasty. Chips were salted with a special blend and very moreish. Figured that the Unley couldn't mess up their signature burger but unfortunately mine was a little underdone which detracted from the good fillings, tasty sauce and well salted chips; no salad though! Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive which always makes for a pleasant experience. Unfortunately the burger let them down.More
