First time visit to Adelaide and Tony squeezed us in. The food is incredible. Best oysters and steak we have ever eaten in a restaurant plus the staff were warm and welcoming. Tony has a fabulous selection of reds and thoroughly enjoys sharing his knowledge...of them.More

How privileged we are to have this extraordinary Italian restaurant in Adelaide. From the moment you arrive the charming and knowledgeable Mr. Tony does everything to make your dining experience special and memorable. For lunch we ordered shared starter of Insalta Calda Di Calamari (Calamari...Salad) consisting of a creative mix of lettuce, sun-dried tomatoes, olives and capsicum with lemon peppered calamari tossed in a beautiful refreshing dressing, which was simply delicious. For mains all four of us ordered Spaghetti Marinara with Bianco Sauce - not featured on the menu but available. The dish was beautifully presented - a picture-perfect stunning mixture of perfectly cooked spaghetti highlighted with plump prawns, calamari and mussels served in a delicious white wine, stock, garlic and butter sauce. To say the dish was perfection would be an understatement - it was stupendous - a masterpiece of gastronomic skill that more than likely, could ever be surpassed. Bravo Tombola -Mr. Tony, Chef and Staff - We can't wait to return for our next enjoyable visit David, Chris, Andrew, Graham.More

My husband surprised me with a gathering of 13 family and friends to celebrate a milestone birthday. It was lovely to find that our tables were arranged in a large square which made it easier to talk to everybody. The management and staff were very...accommodating, friendly and professional. From the initial booking, to service on the night, no request was too difficult and the food was fantastic. I cannot recommend la Tombolo more highly as a venue to celebrate a special occasion for a memorable experience.More

We came here for a friends birthday dinner 6 in total. Every single one of us ate every bit of food plus desert . All six of us ate absolutely every bit of our entree and main - including three of us who never even...finish a meal let alone eat an entree and all the main. We were that impressed we all ordered desert including a few extra deserts to try them. Honestly best food and fantastic service. You will not be disappointed !!! I can not stop talking about the food and the service.More

An old school Adelaide restaurant still trading on its reputation from 30 years ago. Average Italian fare with a premium price tag.

Our first visit will definitely not be the last. Tony’s place is incredible and the staff - especially Don made the evening spectacular. The food was exceptionally fresh and tasty. The wine list is fantastic and we were delighted to get a magnificent 2012 Maclaren...Vale Cab Sav. We can’t wait to go backMore

Wide variety of items on the menu. Not restricted to only the usual types of pasta. Best of all is the very personalised service from owner and staff. They are genuinely focused on ensuring that you have enjoyed your meals. Would definitely recommend.

I agree that it both depends on the children's ages and their behaviour and a great idea to call Tony at the restaurant to confirm if kids meals are available if the website doesn't confirm this.
