Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Overall the experience was ordinary. The cafe food was very limited and their menu was completely different to what is on their website - no gluten free options at all. The cats were sleeping when we got in there, which was fine because they had been played with quite a bit with previous customers. The cat area smelled really bad, like they hadn't changed the kitty litter in a couple of days. I noticed they only had 3 litter trays for 7-8 cats which is not nearly enough. I do like that the cats are up for adoption but wonder if this is an ethical process and not like the awful puppy farms.

What a great idea for all cat lovers! Even tho I’m not a big fan of cats, I did enjoy seeing them being well cared for with an abundance of cuddles from cafe customers. Staff were attentive and friendly. The time that we booked our 20 minutes session with the cats was spot on. Food was good and well priced. Lovely to see the cats/kittens can be adopted.

I don't mind paying something to view the cats. I've seen reviews where people have complained that they had to pay before interacting with the cats and that's not fair on the business. However what I don't like is being served stale and/or unpalatable food. On my first visit many months ago, I was served a dry tough schnitzel but endured it for the sake of seeing the cats. Decided to give this cafe a second chance and visited a few days ago: Coffee obviously made from skim milk which made the drink tasteless and too watery, and then $11.95c for what should have been carrot cake but was, in fact, a slice of the driest, stalest slab of cardboard that you could NOT imagine, possibly even a health risk. If you communicate your dissatisfaction with the manager, you just get excuses and deflections. There's another cat cafe in Felixstow which is further from my home but much better.

A substantial menu to choose from, friendly staff and a well filled cake display cabinet. We visited here for coffee after visiting another establishment for lunch. Upon entry we were advised that you could only visit with the cats if you paid for a meal or purchased a dessert item (coffee, milkshakes etc) do not count as a contributing meal etc or purchase a piece of carrot cake was $11.95 albeit the biggest carrot cake I have ever seen. The waffles that we purchased looked great and my son enjoyed really enjoyed them. The serving was generous and came out within a reasonable time frame. I appreciate the venue's need to not just be a pop in pet patting place, however it did leave a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth spending $50 on drinks but still having to buy a meal (which we didn't want) just so that one of our children could sit in the same room as a the cats. Also be prepared that due to the restricted numbers allowed in the cat room, you do have to present your meal ticket and be booked in to visit with the cats at an allocated time slot. I love the principal and theory behind having an establishment like this but it all just felt a bit off having to purchase meals to sit with the cats, the cats of course being the main draw card. Also note that there is a 15% surcharge for weekends and school holidays. Just something else that didn't really sit well with me. We were also asked if we had a booking upon arrival as it is quite a busy little spot. If you are going here really to spend time with the cats though (as we were) it may not quite be what you anticipated.

This was my first visit to this cafe and what a delight it was! The coffee was satisfactory and the company of 8 cats/kittens was wonderful. There is a glass enclosed room at the front of the cafe that houses the cats (who are up for adoption). Buy yourself a coffee or some food and you are welcome to go in and mix with the moggies. Some of whom were extremely friendly. If you were thinking of adopting a cat, this is a good way of choosing the cat that is best for you.

We visited this cafe on a busy Sunday afternoon. It was our first visit to a cat cafe after talking about it for years, so I’m glad it met expectations. The cafe is comfortable and inviting, and you can observe the cats in their seperate room where they are watched over by volunteers. There is no charge to spend time with the cats, however they expect each person (who wants to spend time in the “cat room”) to order an item from the menu. The coffee and desserts were both excellent-fresh and delicious, and not overpriced. I would happily visit this cafe even if there were no cats! Once you order you are given a specific time when you can enter the cat area, which in our case was 20 minutes from when we ordered. The only problem with this was that was exactly when our coffee and desserts turned up. This meant letting our coffees go cold while we went into the cat area, or throwing down hot coffees and not really enjoying them. (We chose the latter). You are asked not to pick up the cats, so if they are all sleeping or uninterested in humans, then you can only pat and give them a scratch, but it’s still fun to be able to spend time with them (in particular a couple of younger playful cats). The volunteers are lovely and the staff very friendly, and it’s a great way for these cats to (hopefully) find a new home. As mentioned, the homemade desserts here were worth coming for alone, the cats are an added bonus! I’m planning another visit soon.

Coffee with cats, a cute idea. Can't actually be in with the cats while you drink your coffee but not far away. Make sure that you sanitize your hands before visiting the felines.

We visited on a Saturday evening for dessert after dinner in the city. It was quiet with only one other family there. The desserts were amazing - they far exceeded what we expected of a cat cafe, and were much better than we’ve had in some restaurants. The cats were gorgeous, a couple of them were super affectionate and happy to climb onto your lap. The room the cats were in was very clean and didn’t smell, and the cats all appeared relaxed and contented (even despite a couple other kids there who weren’t always handling them particularly gently). Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves desserts and cats!

Wonderful desserts, great coffee and the chance to admire and cuddle cats and kittens waiting to find their forever homes. Last time we went we sat looking into the cuddle cage where about half a dozen cats were happily being cuddled by a variety of humans. This is such a fun thing to do and a great way to keep the cats socialized and easy to re-home. Highly recommended. Studies have shown that stroking cats is one of the best ways to lower blood pressure and reduce stress. Can I make another booking now?

A good café if you want to spend an hour with cats and kittens or if you just want a good cup of coffee. And don't forget the desserts! Also highly recommended as well as the coffee. Paws and Claws Adoption are involved and it's a good way to donate to their organisation. It can be busy so if kitten-cuddling is your intent, you might need to have your coffee/dessert first and then join the cats.

What better way to spend an hour than with coffee and kittens! The coffee was good. The desserts looked amazing, but we didnt try one this time around! The kittens were adorable, but it was busy, so be prepared to have your coffee/dessert first and then a cuddle. Will definitely be back to get my kitten fix again soon!

Chinese desserts and playing with kittens seems a weird combination, but it works. We found this place by accident and keep going back. The desserts are very delightful and the service is great. We have taken many friends here (just for the desserts not necessarily to play with the kittens - as we have 2 fur babies at home). It is very relaxing & worth the visit.

The staff in the cafe were really friendly and attentive. The food was delicious!! But what you really want to know about is the cats... this was heaven for a cat lover! 😻 What's even better is knowing that Paws and Claws Adoption are involved and you can donate to their organisation as well as being able to give these kittens a good home!
