My dad and me are currently sailing the Norfolk Broads. We moored up on public mooring on Walsham broad and made the 40 minute well sign posted walk into the village. We found the Ship Inn to be a wonderful village pub. Very friendly and...More

We called in on the off chance whilst out walking in the local marshes and were made to feel very welcome. The young (by our standards) owners and staff were most accommodating and attentive without making us feel under any pressure. Prices were very reasonable...More

We moored up at the malthouse broad free mooring and based on reviews decided it was worth the short 20min walk to this pub rather than the easy local across the road and we weren't disappointed. Great real ale and cider, good food for a...More

We walked about 2 miles from the river where we had moored up to find this pub and in our opinion it was a lovely find. We had a Ploughmans and a pint and watched the tennis due to a thunderstorm coming over! The staff...More

What a disappointing experience! This place has really gone downhill from the excellence of the past. I think the new owners are living on the past reputation of the establishment, doing meals on the cheap, but still charging restaurant prices. We took some friends for...More

A few things that we would like to clarify: We are certainly not living on the past reputation of the previous owners, we have made our own business in our own model, that is to bring back the pub to the village - we do...More

We have been here several times for Sunday lunch, and it really is one of the best around. It's handy as we are allowed to take the pooch as well. Lovely menu and great staff

Another fantastic meal at The Ship. It's my favourite eating stop on the broads! Highly recommend the burger. Staff are friendly and efficient and the drinks selection is good too.

Nice fairly small "local" broads pub, staff are friendly and the selection of beer good and local. Food was as you would expect in a country pub usual things quite well done, burgers were good and large but specials were on the small side -...More

Situated in the village of South Walsham, just off the Norfolk Broads (Fleet Dyke is our nearest mooring), we are a friendly family-run local pub offering fine ales from Green Jack, Lowestoft, alongside national guests, selected wine list from Bijou Bottles, and delicious home cooked food (sample menus available on our web site). We look forward to welcoming you, your family and friends, locals and visitors alike! Dogs are welcome in the main bar.
