Friendly staff, seating indoors and outside balcony with tree canopy and lots of chirping coqui frogs at night. Our appetizer took almost 30 minutes to arrive and our main course another 30. Eat something light before you go.

Enjoyed my first Mofungo here, even went back a second time for more! The restaurant was packed on Friday night with a very small staff working the dining area. The servers and bartender were running around working as a team taking care of the entire place. I believe we had interaction with every server that night, and they were all... More

I reviewed this place back in 2013 and found that it was not as good as in its early days. Well, now we gave it another try and have found it quite different, but much improved. Management changes from season to season are par for the course here in this tourist area, and that characteristic is very much reflected in... More

Island wide power outage and we were struggling to find a good place to eat. Well, we called the red flamboyan and got a come on over! We were relieved that we could stop hunting and settled outside for dinner. Seemed a bit rustic but we immediately found the food and the service were both excellent. We had a yuca... More

For the most part, we enjoyed our dinner at the Red Flamboyan. Many loved their Mofongo, my steak was great. Lobster may have been slightly overdone and ceveche was not awesome. The service was very friendly, but I think our party of 14 overwhelmed them a bit, as they are clearly not accustomed to that large of a crowd so... More

We were staying in Serenity hotel and decided to eat here. We orderd a seafood paella and a chicken mofongo and was very good. Everything had a lot a flavor, very well cooked and fresh. Looking foward to visiting the place again!

We went to the Red Flamboyan for dinner during our recent stay in Rincon. It's a great spot, but don't expect a swanky, stylish setting. This is more authentic Puerto Rican--both in cuisine and feel. We ordered chicken stuffed with plantains (in guava sauce) and a mofongo. Both were huge and excellent. Note, the pace at the Flamboyan is leisurely.... More
