Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is such a good spot and unfortunately this morning 17.1.24 was not a good experience. It was pouring in rain, The staff were not helpful they looked disconnected, no sense of hospitality, uninterested, not present with the customers, there were focus on themselves, chatting...around, 4 staff member sat next to us to have their big breakfast., loud and obvious. As a business owner once upon a time.... it was hard to witness the lack of customer service. We had to ask for a spoon, for a knife.. obviously inexperience and uncaring. This cafe should be crowded...with such a view. There are other cafes in the neighborhood and one can understand why they are so busy. I understand there are new owners you might consider to upgrade the menu as well. Hope things improve!More

Tried to have lunch on Wednesday but they had a restricted menu which meant we left. Back on Thursday for cake and had to wait due to cross over time of breakfast and lunch for chips to be available. Strange wat to run a Cafe....Staff however super friendly and prices fair. Shame toilets (not run by cafe) are poor.More

We noticed that the other tables were sharing plates of chips or sweet potato chips, so we decided to share a bowl of Lentil and Vegetable Stew. It was delicious and very filling, coming with flat bread and dip as well. The service was great...- we were brought glasses of water right off and extra cutlery to dine with. The Genovese coffee was good, too.More

Treated very poorly by the owner, the owner stated the chef would not change a poached egg to a fried egg “because they were busy” and “the chef doesn’t want to ruin the presentation”… there were many spare tables throughout the cafe and if that’s...how your chef thinks he needs to grow up… the menu did state if it was busy they wouldn’t make changes but I would hardly call the way in which an egg is cook a ‘change’.. the owner then proceeded to call me a smart ass because I said I would leave a review on Google. Anyway my family definitely won’t be back and after telling my close friends who attend regularly they have also confirmed they won’t be back! That’s definitely no way to treat a paying customers mate.More

It is unusual to find a restaurant right on the water in Melbourne's eastern bayside suburbs. They tend to be over the road from the beach and separated by bushes from any coast view. But, the Beach Cafe at Seaford is very different. My pictures...show it is right on the beach with a great view of Seaford and pier from the tables. Sitting outside is not a major issue on an average winter's day because of the outdoor heaters. But it is warm and cosy inside behind glass. My chai latte was tasty and very hot - great. Also I had the Apple and Caramel Crumble. While more pricey than other cafes (you pay for the water view), it was delicious. This is a relaxing restaurant / cafe and I would recommend a visit followed by a walk along the pier.More

Family run business. Chris runs the outside while his brother is the chef and runs the kitchen. Always consistently amazing experience. Seaford pier and beach right as you dine. Great for romantic lunches

We were a difficult bunch. Not mean, or demanding, but needing to be precise about our food requirements. And they nailed it. Two of us had massive food intolerances but thanks to an advance phone call to them, and their careful waitress, we received meals...that didn't hurt us. Staff were also very helpful when we kept adding to the order over time, to feed the chldren with us. Thank you for your consideration and the meals were lovely.More

We are local and unfortunately after several attempts we now avoid this place. We are hoping the surf life saving club realises what a stain the owner is and does not renew his lease. We have had multiple bad experiences at this place, patiently waiting...for a hour for a table when we first moved here to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. After seeing 3 tables for 4 available (one being outside on the deck) we asked kindly if our group of 3 could be seated at one of these because it was my girlfriends birthday, and the owner rejected us saying “well that doesn’t change anything” and had to continue to wait because we were not a 4. How about being human and at least saying “happy birthday, so happy you chose our restaurant for your special day” or something. The service is not good and you feel like you are being raced in to get pushed out. Food is good but not special, and the view is of course what everyone goes for. With new management that shows hospitality like 38 south or burger boss or actually the rest of the restaurants in Seaford it would be amazing and somewhere I’d love to be able to bring people to. Unfortunately that is not currently the case and so we go elsewhere for our daily coffee and breakfasts on weekends. They also don’t do an all day breakfast menu...More

Walking along Seaford Beach to Frankston and needed to sit and have a coffee, or Chai Latte in my case. Spotted this place and with the terrace and great views over the sea then this is for us. stepped in and ordered and took a...seat front and centre on the terrace, just a superb view! Drinks came out pretty quick and were great tasting - need to ask for my cup to be warmed as it was not that hot. But tasted amazing. Great lace to sit and chill, will go back and try their amazing looking cakes next time!More

Excellent views next to beach and pier. Great food and excellent service. Can sit inside or on balcony. Relaxed and quiet surrounds near Seaford Village shops and Kananook Creek which has an excellent walking track and plenty of colourful birds and ducks.
