Situated at Cable Bay, with views back towards Auckland City, this restaurant has an enviable location. Without these views what else is there? The staff were courteous and well trained. The large group we were with were accommodated with efficiency for our meal times but the tasting platters were limited in their selection and twice the waiter/waitress did not know... More

We visited Cable Bay after riding the EcoZip. We wanted something a bit special to celebrate a birthday and they certainly didn't disappoint. They were busy but the wait was next to none. The food was superb, local juicy oysters, tasty lamb, home smoked salmon pizza & crispy fish...everything was a taste sensation. The view back to Auckland city and... More

We had a great afternoon at this beautiful winery overlooking the great views of Waiheke. We chose to have wine directly from the restaurant bar rather than the tasting as we would have had to be indoors in the cellar bar - not sure if that was due to the time of year, any opportunity to taste wine outdoors there... Dropped in here for a glass of wine and a bite to eat. Had a lovely bottle of their Waiheke Island rose and mezze platter. The price of the wine was eye watering considering we were at the vineyard but the taste almost made up for it. The platter was really nice and the service was great. Great spot looking... More

I went there at the suggestion of my taxi driver, I walked through the lobby (which was cool by the way) and out to the lawn area, which was a great setting for sure. There, was the great view that everyone loves, which is perfect for the place. There were lots of tourists doing tastings and the tony restaurant surprisingly... More

Nice views from the tasting area. We asked in the tasting room if there was anyplace we could drink our wine outside and look at the view. The woman told us there was nothing outside, only in the tasting room. We ended up walking outside and ordered some tastings from the bar had a nice time sitting outside on the... More

Had a great lunch. Magnificent views and good food and wines. Had Oysters and Sauvignon Blanc plus fish, all in a nice setting. The negative is that the place is wellknown and therefor very crowded. Don't expect a quiet corner. Long tables and all back to back. Service on the tables is good and quick, not too long waiting for... More

Just popped in for a wine, what a stunning view! Great location and a nice looking restaurant. It was very busy which must mean it's a good spot to go!

Nice experience at Cable Bay tasting some of their wines with my wife on our honeymoon. It was early in the day and quiet, but our server was nice, if a bit cold, but still a very nice experience. We bought a bottle after the tasting and were on our way. Actually ended up coming back later on in the... More
