Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed at the Winning Post Hotel, so made sense to walk through reception to the restaurant. Food was good; salads and fish and chips. Wine was good from the Charnwood winery.

Amazing decor and lighting. The food took a bit longer than usual, but once the food came out, it was delightful. They were presented well and beautifully cooked, with myself ordering the chargrilled eye fillet. It was perfectly juicy but could've used more seasoning, however,...these are very small things. Sadly there was no creme brulee left, however, the brownie with ice cream was delicious. Overall, it is a great place to enjoy a meal with family.More

As visitors to Mudgee we were looking for a nice restaurant on a Monday night. We found this in a motel in central mudgee. The food was sensational, we had garlic bread, scallops and prawns, calamari, duck, pork belly with asian salad, vanilla creme brulee....It was all perfect although the strawberry on the creme brulee had been sliced with a knife they used to cut onion as I could taste onion as I ate a slice of strawberry. Apart from that the food was perfect. Charnwood wines were exceptional. I would definitely recommend it.More

I look forward to coming back to Mudgee just to eat here again. Their garlic and herb bread was one of the best I've ever had and the steak was terrific - thick and cooked rare to order, with a lovely blue cheese sauce. We...had Charnwood's award winning shiraz which was very good too. I even got a sticky date pudding delivered to our room, pure greed on my part but it was yummy. Just the sort of food I love, as good as I would usually eat in Sydney.More

Amazing food and great friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was the highlight of my trip. Rooms are modern and location central to town. We will definitely be staying here next time in Mudgee.

I have lived in the Mudgee region for around 5 years and this is definitely the best meal I have had eaten here. The food was beautiful, steaks perfectly cooked and the seafood was great. Lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back again.

A good friend of ours booked a table for 8 for a birthday celebration. We arrived at 6:15pm for a 6:30 sitting. All good, restaurant was quiet and we ordered. In the mean time a few couples came in ordered, got served and left. At...8:30 we still had not received our meals. We eventually got served at 8:40pm. We did NOT receive a proper apology and the lady in charge actually tried to turn the issue on to us as our friend had tried to enter the kitchen to try and find out what the problem was. I am not a person who would normally complain, but the whole experience was very disappointing and the attitude of the lady in charge TOTALLY APPALLING!More
