The meals pretend to be cooked in Russian way but they are not. Severe local dishes influence is dominated in every food we tasted. What was really good - smetana (they called it yogurt despite big difference). The facility is run by the family, free WiFi, reasonable price. Is you stay in the center - taxi will cost 13 euros... Apart from good tasty Russian food, they also have bits from several areas of the former Soviet Union, like Azeri sashliks, Georgian water, Moldavian wine. Prices are reasonable to cheap, although service can be a bit abrupt.

One word: SHASHLIK! They cook it exactly like in Russia. And the salads are the same. The wine (red) is soooo nice. Vareniki and the bread are awesome. The location isn't close to transportation, and the restaurant is cold in winter, but as food, is the best russian in Athens!!! Totally worth the taxi and the money (you just cannot... More

We are regulars, for the past 16 years. We visit the restaurant at least once a month. There was NEVER EVER a time we left dissatisfied or disappointed. We highly recommend this restaurant, food and their service.

First of all it is not Valentino but Valentina. It is an average Russian restaurant hidden between blocks of Russian district in Kallithea. Very few positions in the menu, few real Russian dishes, trying to match Greek preferences rather than being original Russian. They served us undercooked meat (chicken breast). Really nothing special. I wouldn't come back.

It was our first time to have Russian food and we really enjoyed it. The menu is only in Greek and we think that we must have been one of the first tourists to go there as they seemed surprised at our visit. A friendly guest translated the menu for us because the owners don't speak English at all. The... More

A friend recommended this Russian-Pontian restaurant. All I can say is wow. This really is delicious comfort food. The borscht soup was warm and perfectly seasoned. The salads were fresh. The cabbage rolls were stuffed with minced meat and cooked in a fresh tomato sauce. The vareniki, home made pasta with cheese in a light butter sauce were lovely. The... More
