Most disappointed with attitude of female floor supervisor very cold and disinterested greeting ever, mind you she was dealing with party of 15 females still there since lunch. Her bad mood was a disgrace, we were not shown specials menu given to other customers and...waited a good ten minutes to order a drink whilst staff were busy setting tables. We are locals who have eaten at most restuarants in the area. View was exceptional. No complaints about overseas staff especially the french waitress uplifted our mood, food was excellent, view excellent, but if thats the best the grumpy floor manager can do she should look for another job, because locals talk and we wont be backMore

What has happened to Sails at Noosa. Family and friends have been going to Sails for over ten years. Today my friend and i decided to give it another go. Yes it is beautiful to look put at the beach snd water. However the food...is lacking serious taste. The linguine was VERY average and the salad with walnut and pear was below par. Is there a chef actually preparing the food or is it prepared in a kitchen elsewhere and delivered to the kitchen to be reheated. For close on $200 for lunch and no wine it was disappointing This has been our fourth time that Sails has been underwhelmingMore

We booked a table for 4 for a Friday lunch as an anniversary celebration. As Noosa locals we have dined here intermittently for many years. Our experience yesterday was extremely disappointing, we were seated at a table in the back corner which is understandable as...we booked the previous day, but the dining experience was just horrible, the waitstaff were unfriendly and brisk and we really did not feel welcome at all. The starter bruschetta with trout butter was lovely as always but the oysters were seriously underwhelming, small and tasteless. When the mains arrived, the order for ceviche was not done instead I was handed a plate of octopus. This was sent back and 15 minutes later the ceviche arrived, not a good dish at all and for $30 this tiny entrée was pathetic. The fish pie could have been from any restaurant not special at all. The linguine is 100% better at Noosa Italian. The worst part of the meal were the extremely loud diners, there was a large group of diners all talking and carrying on a maximum decibel level in the centre of the restaurant and a table adjacent to us of loud men who spent most of the time standing up at their table communicating loudly with other diners. It was impossible for us to have any conversation at all without shouting. There didn't appear to be a manager in charge who could control the situation, the staff should have been able to quieten things down and show some respect to the other customers, I suspect as we only ordered one bottle of ($100) wine we weren't spending/drinking enough to gain their respect. I know this seems a rant, but we are well travelled and have dined at beautiful restaurants all over the world so are profoundly disappointed to see this once lovely venue come to this level. Noosa has much better and more stylish places than this. Btw we left and had a great dessert at a Season restaurant.More

Lovely friendly restaurant, felt very looked after by the staff. You definitely have to book as they are a super busy restaurant! Food was to high standards and very yummy! Portion sizes aren’t huge but they are very tasty! We had a lovely night here...:)More

Went here for my 60th last night food was good service from staff excellent however a very loud table of 10 made it impossible to even have a conversation. These people were very intoxicated and unfortunately management did nothing to quiet them down. Just kept...serving them cocktail after cocktail. I asked them to tone it down as we could not even hear our own conversation but they took offence. Our waitress noticing this offered to move us which we did but was clapped and yelled at by this table when we did. Again I asked them what the problem was but more abuse and eventually an argument took place. Anyway understanding the rules of the RESPONSIBLE SERVING OF ALCOHOL I believe the restaurant is negligent and I will be filing a complaint with the Liquor License department. These rules were applied to protect not only employees but other patrons. However in the interest of making a buck kept supplying these intoxicated people with expensive cocktails. So we won’t be back ever again. Also note many have said the same about this restaurant and noted the Manager is more interested in making a buck on overpriced drinks.More

They nailed it!! Four of us enjoyed every mouthful and every morsel of deliciousness. Food and wine both gave excellent choice and quality with extensive wine list, delightful and attentive service especially for one of our party who has a serious nut allergy. The staff...all read it and remembered it for each course. Suggestions staff made were very helpful and spot on. Yes it is another fine dining experience in Noosa and it comes at a price - but each of us thought it was really worth it. I cannot explain some of the negative reviews as we all loved it. Of course the location is perfect, right on the beach.More

The restaurant are professional scammers. We waited one hour for our food despite the restaurant being half full. There is only one vegetarian main option which was eggplant with cheese and costs $44 and the cheese was off and overpowering. They came around once to...ask how everything was and when they came to ask how it was at the end we explained that it wasn’t good and they said they should have let us know beforehand having asked once. They then offered one ‘complementary’ desert and when we got the bill charged us for the desert and the eggplant having only eaten half of it. I do not believe that the inclusion of the desert was a mistake and was an attempt to scam us. The waiters are unprofessional and couldn’t care less taking about 10 minutes to remove from the bill. They also put the 10% charge for the Sunday pricing into the meal cost to make it less noticeable. They still charged us for the eggplant. There are some amazing restaurants in Noosa but unless you enjoy puking up your dinner (we all tried it and ended up puking) and being scammed avoid this place like the plagueMore

We were very impressed with sails. The quality of food was fresh, even the kids meals were amazing, proper good cut of steak for kids, my daughter loved it! Excellent service, all the staff were lovely. Good selection of seafood and steak and wines. Amazing...views! Best dishes was grilled octopus and the eye fillet. Highly recommend as a must try in Noosa if you’re not on a tight budget.More

There’s a reason this restaurant takes pride of place beachside in Noosa! Stunning setting, elegant and understated yet very chic! Food is outstanding and I would rate the best in Noosa by far! Had the Moreton Bay Bug with Caesar salad and my husband had...the eye fillet for mains. Ciabatta bread with trout butter to start and finished with decadent mini doughnuts with three different sauces of lemon curd, marscapone and chocolate! Delicious 😋 Nick our server was delightful and we had the best table at the front! A wonderful place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary! We will be back next year when visiting our favourite destination! Just perfection!More

OMG!!! How rude r the staff. I arrived after booking over a month ago. I advised on the booking that it was a special occasion for my daughter’s 18th and I would like a sea view. This is a Tuesday afternoon before school holidays. I...booked for 2.15pm so the main lunch crowd should have finished. I arrived at the restaurant to find it was packed with 80+ loud women seated on large tables taking up over 90%. We were seated far away from the sea view. We couldn’t hear ourselves think let alone talk. I asked why the restaurant hadn’t called me to advise. I could have done lunch on the Monday or Wednesday. They gave me a weak excuse. Then when I complained they told me they didn’t know that a large group of women had booked. When I pointed out that we were exposed to the loudness of the group booking we received no consideration. Then they abused me when their point of sale machine didn’t work. Then they abused me saying I had made their staff cry even though the staff member was setting the table behind them. Then they abused me saying they were calling the police. Even though they hadn’t advised that there was a time restriction and all I had asked for was 1/2 hour to finish my wine. This is the most rudest restaurant I’ve ever been too in the entire world. The food was ordinary, the service was very ordinary I had to wave at staff to get their attention, and the management extremely rude and obnoxious. For someone who has been dining at Noosa since 1983 I’m appalled that this high and mighty attitude from today’s restaurant staff is considered appropriate. Don’t ever go there! U will be very disappointed.More

We went to Sails as a group of five friends for dinner. The highlight of the evening was Nick our waiter. He developed a rapport with us and had a great sense of humour. The food itself was ok but nothing special and as mentioned...by other patrons felt overpriced on the whole. The cocktails were tasty and the wine menu was good but very pricey. The Sunday surcharge of 10% was an unpleasant surprise and all up the bill came to almost $1000!More

We are locals and regular patrons, but unfortunately is is no way near how good it used to be. Food was average at best and ridiculously priced (main size portion of crab lasagna, pictured below, $66.00!!! ), Maitre D was rude when we questioned why...we were sitting at the back near the bar when we requested a table overlooking the beach for a birthday booking made 3 weeks prior. Overall very ordinary experience… and a bill for 2 courses for 3 people, one dessert, and one cocktail…nearly $350. Won’t be back.More

They take Bookings 3 months in advance. Be on it. I booked a table exactly 3 months in advance for my wife's birthday for early January, as it opened and someone had already booked a table for 20. Make a note in the diary!
