Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Reading some of the reviews it is obvious that people are confusing the beach house restaurant with the bar and kitchen. We ate at the restaurant and found the food and service exemplary. We had oysters, scallops, Morton bay bug and Murray cod. All the...dishes were delicious, the service was friendly and helpful. Our young waiter was happy to answer any questions and check details. I would definitely recommend the noosa beach house restaurant.More

We decided to spoil ourselves and indulge in the 3-course set menu with matching wines. A sort of degustation and there was no shortage of food. The three entrees were interesting. Not a fan of raw meat and fish but the raw sea trout was...delicious. The beef tartare not so much. The veges and goats curd exquisite. Mains were lamb and market fish with charred brussel sprouts and potatoes. Meat and fish were perfectly cooked and delicious. There was an abundance of brussel sprouts, but sadly they were undercooked and bitter. Plus 13 very hard, bland, floury potatoes. Dessert was the highlight. Chocolate mousse with ice cream. Fantastic but not quite enough for two. Wonderful wait staff who were friendly and caring. A real credit to the place.More

I took my golf buddies here as was one of my favourites in Noosa - was ignored at the bar twice even though at one stage I was the only person next in line. Staff were inexperienced and clearly not well trained , a simple...“who’s next” would have avoided the issue. I was then charged $13.50 each for basic beers (Carlton draught) an absolute rip off. You live and learn - the kicker though was the 1.4% surcharge for using my debit card - we had one left and spent our hard earned elsewhere with better service. It’s hard finding experience these days but junior staff can still be trained and that was sorely lacking at this venue - using junior/cheaper staff but still charging a huge premium - come on Sofitel, I have stayed at many of your hotels and know you can do much, much better!!!More

The most amazing service in Hastings Street and the food was out standing. My partner and myself come to Hastings street quite often to experience the finer dining that Noosa has to offer but this experience was by far the best we’ve ever had. Can...not fault the service that we received and the food was divine.More

Fabulous food and great wine selection. Attentive and helpful service. Wine is a little expensive but probably consistent with Noosa fine dining. The ambience is one of smart casual beach house feel.

We were in Noosa for one day with our dog so thought our options may be limited. Thankfully we happened upon the lovely Donna who said we could sit outside with our dog. Donna was great and so friendly. Unfortunately though this isn’t a full...service restaurant but it does have full service prices. You must order at the bar and then watch your drinks sit there for a while. The food we had was good but I just felt everything was pretty expensive when there isn’t a great deal of service. Cutlery and napkins are just sat at the table. And the place felt a bit dirty. After we got our meals we didn’t see another person. We did seeDonna again as we were leaving and she was once again friendly. She’s the best asset this restaurant has.More

Absolutely amazing night out and fine dining experience. Me and my partner have been to the Noosa Beach House Restaurant twice in the past month. We’ve had the pleasure to taste two different menu’s. The new chef and it’s menu are absolutely mouth-watering. The dish...that stood out the most was definitely the scollops: so rich in flavour and melted in our mouths. The Sommelier elevated the fine dining experience by matching wines to our courses based on our preference and food choice. The second time we went they also suprised us with mobile cocktail station, building a lychee martini cocktail next to our table. Very impressive and completes the experience with a very personal touch. After our dinner in the restaurant we walked down to the Noosa Beach House Bar where we had some delicious cocktails served by a very welcoming team. Would definitely recommend for an elevated night out in Noosa.More

We took a friend visiting from the UK here (the restaurant as opposed to the bar) for a last Friday night in town. We were a bit nervous about the choice as we hadn’t been before and it’s part of the hotel so not sure...what to expect - all the “usual Noosa restos” were booked up. We were pretty happy with our choice - after a couple of cocktails up the road at Miss Moneypenny’s we arrived for dinner. My husband and I shared the lamp shoulder which was tender and delicious. The chap potatoes were a good side - but they were out of broccolini! So ordered the brussel sprouts which were giant a bit charred for me. Let’s just say that I like my greens and these weren’t so green any more. Our friend had the Moreton Bay bug - which was fab too. Wine selection by the glass was good - we all tried something new and the wine waiter told us all about each one - was great to learn about each. Overall a very pleasant, informal evening and the staff that looked after us were lovely and attentive.More

Visited here for an afternoon cocktail as it looked like it would be quite flash, it wasn’t, everything was grubby, we were told to take a seat and order. Zero table service which they didn’t indicate when I ordered. Turns out our drinks were sitting...on the bar for ages. The bar staff were young and did not give a dam about customers, only themselves. The bar girl served a customer who had clearly pushed in front of me, so rude. The toilet facilities absolutely stink like a filthy public toilet block. It’s a booze barn disguised as an up market cocktail bar.More

After a walk along the beach we decided to stop off at the Sofitel bar and restaurant to relax with a drink and food, the lady who greeted us took us to a table and gave us our menus, we ordered a ping and an...aperol spritz and the bar tender said it would be brought over we watched our drinks sit at the bar for over 5 minutes before we got them the same server who greeted us began paving around us constantly asking “have you not ordered food yet? “ no we want to enjoy our drink first… we decided on a smoked salmon salad and a beetroot and goats cheese salad when they came both salads were overrun with mint leaves, now if it said on the menu mint leaf smoked salmon salad we both would not have chosen these meals I began to them look for the goats cheese and the smoked beetroot was not smoked just tasted like a boiled beetroot way too much, it was literally mint and beetroot, I scraped the whole salad aside and found a small creamy mess at the bottom of the plate, picked all of the mint leaves and tried to get through it the same server came along asking how everything was and we mentioned the mint overpowering both of meals and I said mine was ruined as I hate mint and she walked off saying sorry, I know that the chefs probably like to use what is in season but maybe some rocket or. Spinach instead of such a strong herb would be advised, this is only the 2nd time I have visited but the level of service and food were a little below our expectations for the price afraid this is not an establishment we would visit again.More

Exceptional fine dining food! Took my 2 year old and he loved it too. The grilled prawns are huge, they took up the entire diameter of a dinner plate and the duck was divine with the parsnip puree, and red cabbage. The kids meal steak...was delicious and very high quality. Lovely staff who were very nice and friendly.More

Our third visit on a Sunday for lunch. First two great but this last Sunday the service was terrible. We had recommended to friends and were nothing but embarrassed with the service. Such a shame, as the food is fantastic. Nothing explained, no water topped...up, had to ask for wine list etc. etc.More
