We have been coming to Noosa for 30 years and never been to Halse Lodge before. The building is beautiful and the tables outside perfect for drinks and a casual dinner with children, with water dragons coming to visit us while we sat there. Also it is away from the hustle and bustle and noise of Hastings Street. The food... More

We had our x-mas eve dinner after a 24hr travel from europe. Dinner at Halse lodge was so relaxed, nice food and christmas carols from the youth string quartet. This was the best evening in a long time with our family. Thank you..

A Backpackers. Had Dinner, had to book a table and the wait staff were great. Very wholesome food, neat and tidy eating area that was packed the night we went. Not expensive, as it shouldn't be, and recommended.

A great outdoor setting and very good meals at non- Hastings Street prices. We are well out of the Youth Hostel age group and have always felt welcome.

Whilst staying at the hostel I was pleasantly surprised at the attached restaurant and the quality of the food and seating area. All food eaten was excellent and very good value. What surprised me was on both occasions that I ate dinner, there were more locals dining than backpacker which shows how good it is. Well worth a visit, for... More

An old Queenslander only metres from the expensive restaurants in Hasting Street. We went for dinner our table was on the verandah. My husband ordered the steak and said it was one of best he has had, I ordered the fish and would definitely order it again. As it was still happy hour the drinks were cheap and we could... More

I can't believe I have lived in Noosa for 10 years and have only just visited this gem located 150 metres from Noosa's main beach. This looks to be an original sprawling Queenslander (with newer additions at the rear to house backpackers). It is very authentic. I visited for Happy Hour where a glass of house sav blanc was only... More

Halse Lodge is a great old Queenslander, restaurant down the bottom and backpackers lodge up top. It's very casual and friendly, with tables on the verandah, outdoors and by the bar. There's a great range of beers, ciders and an excellent ginger beer, but the white wines aren't great and the mojito disappointed me. The $5 shots are very popular... More
