Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Mt Henry is very busy for Sunday lunch so suggest to book a table. We had reserved but still found a couple of patrons had already taken our table, the wait staff quickly cleared another and sorted out the mistake - guessing short staffed and unable to guide guests as they arrive. The setting is nice with a bar area, large dining and conservatory with a wood fire and sports screens positioned in most areas. The pork and beef roast lunch was very tasty and good value though we did order extra veg, a tip is order early as the roasts ran out just after we ordered. All up a nice experience with friendly hospitable staff.

The lunch was OK. I had the Fisherman's Catch which stated that it had prawns(plural), squid, fish and onion rings. It came with 1 piece of fish, 1 thin quid ring and 1 quite smallish prawn! It had a couple of onion rings

The Mt Henry Tavern is a popular place for dinner, it's always well-patronised. The dining room is attractively set up. The menu is better than average for a suburban pub. The Tavern has a number of beers on tap, or you can try the house red, which is quite palateable. By the way, watch out when you're leaving, the traffic moves rapidly.

I attended the Mt Henry Tavern for lunch with a group yesterday.
We pre ordered our meals to make it easier for the staff on the day.
I ordered an entree which came after my main and was stone cold and inedible
I ordered a Seniors fish and chips because I didn’t want an entree and a main size meal, it was greasy and obviously a cheaper cut of fish and was disgusting.
My friend ordered a soup entree which came at the same time as her steak and the waitress seemed bewildered when she asked for it to go back until she ate her soup. The waitresses were loud rough and lacked customer service training, but no doubt they are paid peanuts.
The place was full of elderly people from nursing homes etc.
My message is that because people are elderly they don’t deserve to eat crap, they have the right to eat well prepared tasty food.
My inedible 2 courses cost me $34, it was a shame we were asked to pay beforehand because there is no way that I would have paid afterwards for food I couldn’t eat. Obviously the management knows this!
I for one will never eat there again, they obviously make their money on unsuspecting people, and shame on you Mt Henry Management.
Get a decent Chef and we’ll trained staff your cheapness is blatantly obvious.

Visited the Mt Henry Tavern on a Friday night in a group of 10. The staff seemed friendly enough and the menu is fairly typical pub fair.
I ordered the pork belly and my wife had the pasta.
The pork belly crackle was reheated and that made the crackle leathery. It was served with savoy cabbage and bacon and scallops. The portion size was quite large, but I couldn't finish it. There was just too much protein and fat. The plate literally had a small pool of fat on the bottom. It was just too rich and I can normally handle rich food.
My wife's pasta was chorizo and prawn, but was altogether uninspiring.
It's not as if it is cheap and you should expect poor food, but there is clearly no love in the kitchen if this is what they are turning out.
As for dessert, there was ice cream or some brownies. I asked the waitress about the brownies and she tried to be diplomatic, but her look said it all that it would be best if I didn't bother.
The place was a ghost town by 8.30 pm and they couldn't wait to get rid of us so they could go home.
Don't bother.

We recently visited this place for an evening meal, we all (4) thought the staff were great. Sadly the food did not live up to our expectations, 1 of our group had the Chicken Parmi, it came as a huge serve, but she said it was completely tastless, I and one other opted for the Ceasar salad with chicken, the chicken was ok, but the lettuce had a strong taste of vinegar in the sauce and was most unpleasant and bitter, our 4th member had the Sirloin steak which he said was good.
In summary the venue was very good, the staff excellent, the food - very poor.

Another successful lunch for a large group of old school friends. We could book as a group but pay for drinks and lunch off and extensive menu as individuals. So much simpler for the organiser.

We came as a team and all got very yummy dinners, it was fast and efficient, unfortunately there was a miscommunication and someone’s chicken was not made. They gave us all free ice creams in return. Thank you so much, you made all of our nights! Thanks to the lady on our table!

My family often meets here for dinner. There is live music on a Monday night if you’re interested.
Each night has a special meal on offer. Sunday is roast dinner and whilst in my opinion nobody cooks a roast dinner as well as my wife does at home, this is one of only two places in Australia that I know of that can serve what is close to being a decent roast.
Kids all eat free some nights which is nice plus they get a free ice cream too.
The bar stocks a good range of icy cold beers.
The service is always friendly and fast, I really can’t fault this place.
Of course you don’t have to eat the daily special, there is a wide range of food on offer freshly cooked and at a nice price. Good pub grub here and a nice place to meet.
If you haven’t tried it already then give it a go. Highly recommended.

We were really looking forward to getting to the local after the virus restrictions. What a shame it was so disappointing. The snapper was dreadful - dry and rubbery. I should have asked for a steak knife but just ate around the edges. Surely with only 20 meals to serve in a sitting the chef could get it right. Not a big ask.

Went there with my mum for dinner and ordered a sirloin with mushrooms, potatoes and broccolini. After 40 minutes I was served steak with chips and less than a handful of peas. My mum ordered barramundi with lemon butter sauce and garlic prawns. Got no butter sauce and no garlic sauce for the prawns. Told the staff what had happened and they didn’t even apologise.

Looking for a meal before catching our flight out. Needed comfort food and we got it. Food was delicious, plates were loaded. We didn’t wait to long for our dinner. Prices are good. Staff were very friendly. One of the best meals we had during our stay in Perth.
