I booked this place for our brief date night out. Booking is via online and it was easy, confirmation via sms and email. Each booking is 2 hrs block. What can I say? Staff are so attentive, we accidentally dropped a fork and before we...could ask, there was a staff replacing it for my wife. We both of course went for the roast duck. I am not a fan of duck, but for the second time this year I gave it a go. It was simply delicious. The red cabbage and dumpling blended well with the duck and best of all the meat was not dried. For the side dish we went with green garden salad and roast potatoes. I just loved the ambient atmosphere of Juniper and Teh service.More

There are mixed reviews of this restaurant but our experience at Juniper & Bay was excellent. The staff were very polite and attentive, recommended certain dishes when asked and kept our glasses full. Can’t ask for much more than that. The food was absolutely delicious....MrsV had the degustation menu and struggled to finish dessert. I had a la carte with lamb as the main which was cooked to perfection. The only down side is that you may need to book well in advance especially for a Fri or Sat evening but if you’re able to go during the week their set price 2 or 3 course meals are a good option. I highly recommend Juniper & Bay and will be back for sure.More

Booked for a birthday dinner based on all the good reviews. I was not disappointed! Had a nice table looking onto the courtyard. Lighting was soft and created the right atmosphere. Decor was classy the staff were great. The food was fantastic. Lovely flavours and...beautiful presentation. There was also an incredible mid week dining special so it was a great price. An added bonus was that we could park close by. This is a hidden gem that I have already been making plans to visit again.More

Degustation birthday dinner for a friend. This meal was worth the try. Serves were small as degustations can be but I left still a little hungry. It’s a small restaurant with a lovely ambience but can get rather loud. Service was good although at times...hard to get a servers attention if you need a drink refill. Worth a Recommendation.More

Atmosphere great and staff vey attentive. The meal was overpriced for what we had. On saying that my husbands pumpkin chestnut soup with scallops was to die for. Our mains were lamb which was very dry. I had the filet steak supposed to be medium...rare was almost well done. Wont be back again but at nearly $200 for two we both can cook a nicer lamb and steak. they did offer to make another one but the damage was done. Wont go back.More

I think the restaurant design is very appealing. The wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. The service was fine. The food was delicious. However, the main course of chicken varied very much in size. Mine was normal for an upmarket restaurant. My wife's was...barely three mouthfuls from a bit of scrag end. I can't believe there is not more attention to consistency in servings. I will need to think carefully before going again.More

My experience this evening…. I booked our table for 3 people some weeks ago, to celebrate my husbands birthday & my upcoming mother’s birthday. We have dined there 3 times before, tonight was our fourth, the first two experiences at the restaurant were lovely, the...previous experience (6 people) we sat at the back of the restaurant near the entrance to the toilet. Not so pleasant Tonight we were escorted to a small table for 2 (to be shared by 3 people) not very pleasant. (Fine if you were in for a quick meal) I sat looking at the wall it was like we were in the naughty corner. I could say that both our backgrounds are/currently extensively in hospitality but would that make a difference? Because the owner/chef agreed he wouldn’t be happy if he sat where we sat. Food was ok but no need to rush back for, overall Sorry if you can’t handle the reservations, just say no. What’s more important? People’s dining experience & returning or your short term dollars. Sorry we won’t be returning or recommending. We are people that will vote with our feet. Disappointing.More

It's been a little over a year since we vowed to return to Juniper and Bay, this time as a couple. Whilst enticed by the degustation menu, we were drawn to the a la carte options. Booking on line was very easy and our table...was just being cleared as we arrived (a few minutes early). The food was excellent - the chicken with a dusted rainbow corn puree was melt in your mouth and the flavours of each component of the dish beautiful. Service was flawless and it was a perfect meal.More

We booked here for a special occasion. Had high expectations based on reviews. Easy parking. Great ambiance. Greeted at door and shown to table. Water offered promptly. Staff friendly, although overall would say there was no oversight of what was going on based on our...experience. Noted, for example, one couple being pointed out their table rather than escorted, and one table seated before us asking for orders to be taken. Staff walked the restaurant but did not always pick up empty glasses or plates. Now …… to our evening. Waited 10 mins for drink order to be taken. Wine poured at table but not same measure in each glass. Waited a further 15 minutes for food order to be taken. Two other tables that had been seated after us had been looked after. Nice amuse bouche offered. Very tasty bread. Incorrect meal delivered and had to ask for other main to be taken away as did not want to eat one meal without the other. Side order of potatoes left on table. Meals delivered back again after 6-7 minutes. Not until after meal was eaten was an apology offered, or even asked how our meals were. No one inquired about whether we wanted more wine. Food was delicious and worth going back for. Service underwhelming. Disappointed overall with the experience.More
