When we have to stay in Perth for hospital visits the highlight is to stay at Windsor Lodge and have breakfast here. Scambled eggs are the best around. Great bacon and coffee.
Must come back for dinner some day.
Absolutely amazing experience – ambient atmosphere, where everything – to the little detail – from chairs and lights to the smallest ornament on the glass is in perfect harmony. Service is exemplary – I think we even were served by the sous-chef at one stage,...polite and lovely staff. Fantabulous food – where every flavour is as if on MasterChef or in the movies – I had prawns, salmon and chocolate mouse, and every dish was melting in my mouse and bursting with a firework of flavours! Definitely a go go!!! :)More
Dinner for 4 last night, busy as always - the secret is out! Starters included lobster bisque which was delicious, a version of casoulet which included honeycomb tripe - sounded terrible but was very good :-), the duck liver pate which was smooth and decadently...rich and absolutely fabulous on their home made sourdough bread and finally the goat's cheese brulee which was mouth wateringly tasty with some interesting condiments like fig and honey that sent the senses into overdrive.
Mains were kangaroo sous vide, tender moist and tasty; while the other three of us all had the roast duck - scrumptious, moist, crispy skin, delicious, perfectly cooked. And the dumpling and red cabbage that accompany are perfect. BYO so we had some great white and red burgundy to wash down our repast - happy to pay the moderate corkage charge. Service was good, could be a bit more attentive, but its only a small staff and the place is busy so we understood. Always nice to have the chef come out and check on our meals. Great value. We'll be back soon.More
I came here with the my family for a birthday dinner and it was fabulous! The staff were lovely and even sung me happy birthday! Our meal was absolutely fantastic and my dessert was prepared with happy birthday written on it in chocolate sauce!
I would love to start saying thank you to the owner and all the staff for making my dinner celebration very special.
I have been there many times and I am always impressed throughout the dining experience. I have invited my closed friends to celebrate...my citizenship and everyone was really pleased by the fine dining experience. We had 3 courses mid-week dining menu and each dish was well executed and incredibly presented! Wine list is quite extent with great selection of Australian wines! It made me very happy to know my friends enjoyed it! I always recommend this diner to everyone who is looking for great food and service. I will definitely be back!More

When I think fine dining in Perth, I think of locations in and around the city. However, Juniper and Bay is a hidden gem, tucked away in the Preston St dining precinct in Como, that offers exceptional food and outstanding service.
We came here for...a family dinner for my brother's 21st birthday. Immediately, we were struck by how intimate it was inside. The restaurant has a limited number of tables and low lighting, making it seem like the perfect spot for a special date night. Our table wasn't quite ready, but the lady who greeted us at the door told us to come in out of the cold and that we could order a drink at the bar while we waited. Our table was ready within 10 mins.
The menu had plenty of choice - there were many dishes that I could've ordered, and I was already planning what I might have on a return visit! In the end, crumbed prawns, barramundi and creme brulee won out. All were delicious, despite the barramundi being slightly overdone for me. The birthday boy also enjoyed his meal very much, especially the prawns. The wait staff were excellent - friendly and accommodating whilst maintaining a sense of professionalism that you expect from fine dining.
My partner and I have already decided that this would be a great spot to come to for a special occasion in the future. I would heartily recommend Juniper and Bay to anyone!More
Party of 6 for a 21st family dinner. We'd never heard of Juniper & Bay before and found it browsing trip advisor. The restaurant is small and intimate with subdued lighting and modern decor. We arrived 10 mins early and our table wasn't quite ready...- we enjoyed a drink at the bar and the table was vacant only 10 mins after our booking time. There was a large party of about 12 or more which was a little noisier than it would perhaps generally be. Towards the end of the meal the service became a little slower but these in no way detracted from a great evening. We each found that there were lots of things we would have liked to have ordered in the mains and entree's and even before being served our first course, we were already planning a return visit if the food lived up to the ambiance and welcome we'd so far received. Wait staff were very pleasant, courteous and unobtrusive. For entree's our party had: Duck Pate (which was light and flavoursome), Crumbed prawns (which were still being talked about long after we got home), Goats cheese brulee (delicious), the Asian popcorn chicken and the beef cheek terrine. For mains, 3 of the party ordered the Kangaroo and all thought this an excellent dish, The barramundi was a little over cooked but still delicious and the chicken and Beef were also thoroughly enjoyed. The presentation of the food was beautiful and certainly adds to the fine dining experience. The crispy potatoes as a side were delicious and one side of the potatoes and Green beans were enough for the 6 of us. Desserts of Creme brulee, rum spiced pineapple (which got a rave review), a shared cheese plate, Affogato and Stracciatella with a very generous serving of Galliano topped off one of the best meals that we've had anywhere. We're already planning our 2nd visit not we've found this little gem.More
