Garlic prawns and scallops, and roast lamb were both really good. The house cab-merlot, and pinot were also great, and at approx $AUD10 each for very full glasses, (one glass full was enough) were inexpensive. Friendly staff. Separate room for families with kids. Nice atmosphere....Would return.More
We ordered one of the Seniors specials of Chicken Schnitzel, it was preformed chicken schnitzel, my husband and my schnitzels had been cut in half, the meal was a joke and an insult to Seniors! The worth of this meal including undercooked chips and a...very light on salad of mostly lettuce leaves should be about $10 tops!More
Went for a family lunch. Walked in sat down, looked at the menu, then walked out. Very expensive. Average for a family of 4 would be $90. No lunch menu. No entres. Can't have pizza, its only served 5 to 9.
My co-worker and I were staying next door so we were delighted that we could walk here easily. First impressions were that it was quite large... and as we were seated, I realised I had been here before ... about twenty years ago when my...partner ( at the time) had been a Chef here. I wasn't going to hold that against the pub though. :) We were told at the hotel that we probably would not be able to eat here as it was booked out, but when we arrived they didn't hesitate seating us. We ordered our meals at the bar and we were given a buzzer to collect them when they were ready. Considering the pub was relatively busy, we didn't wait long before the buzzer went off. Our meals were tasty and we both enjoyed what we had. The pub itself is generic... nothing is going to stand out except the beer tanks that offer something interesting to look at. After we ate, we went to the al fresco area at the back of the pub (smoking area) and continued to drink until closing time. We enjoyed our night here.More
Food came out quick, service was ok, drinks were cold. That’s about it! Floor was putrid, place was grotty and it was super noisy. Now noise is part of big venues however with placement of features alot of the noise can be mitigated! And staff...cleaning up- well that’s just training. Won’t be back for awhile……..More
The meal I had was the roast of the day, the sides and gravy was amazing, but the pork was so-so and the crackling tasted burnt. My 2 year old had the pasta dish, but she's two, she had a hard time lifting the pasta,...wished I asked for a pair of scissors to cut it for her, she had the left-overs for dinner on another night, still loved it then too. She had lots of fun on the bouncing castle, wished there was more room where the slide was to move around in. But she loved it. The bistro closed at 7:30 pm that night for some reason which put a bit of a rush on the ordering of the meals, a bit stressed as I have trouble making decisions when their is more than 3 opinions. Overall, ok night. Servers look bored and felt like they didn't want to talk to you.More
Great food + plenty of selections to choose from to cater for all. Great to take kids to as it has a large playroom area full of mixed activities. Staff are very friendly too. Will continue to come here without hesitation.
Decided to visit here on a rainy day as it advertised a great kids playroom. We arrived to find the room locked and a family having a meal saying a worker had just closed the facility. I went to ask at the bar and the...lady simply said ‘I’ve just closed it’ without anymore explanation. The family said they’d been told it was closed for ‘sanitising’ but only a couple of chairs had been sprayed down. This is all well and good if it closes at certain times, but perhaps it would be useful to put this on their website so people can be aware of this before choosing to visit. Service was not great, abrupt and not friendly. Play room looks awesome though!More
The food is great, kids facilities are great. Extremely hot! We visited on a 32 degree day and couldn’t stay to have a few drinks because it’s only evaporative cooling. The poor staff members were being abused about the heat. It’s such a lovely place...but needs a few split systems or something because it’s unbearable.More
We have had many meals from this restaurant over the last two and a half years and enjoyed the variation that they have on there menu
Large bistro/bar/TAB venue with indoor kids play room which is a hit. Friendly service, meals reasonably priced and tasty. The buzzer system for food collection and staff walking around with trolleys to clear tables is a bit tacky for me.. it made the venue feel...like a dated RSL.More
Having stayed at the motel next door I was unsure if the hotel is owned by the same people but found out that is is not. Arrived to find that we should have booked as the restaurant was booked out due to covid 19. Staff...were great and suggested we sit on the bar stools at the raised tables. My wife had battered fish and was more than happy. On the other hand I made the mistake of ordering what was advertised as veal schnitzel. There is no way what I received was veal as I have never had veal that tough. Disappointed.More
Quick and excellent meal on a busy Mother’s Day night staying at the hotel next door easy walk to and back highly recommended for a feed
Came here on a Friday night with family. The queue for ordering was well handled by staff as was table clearing. Our food was okay but for the price we can have table service elsewhere and not self serve . Not our cup of tea...but so many people including the bikies , a sprinkling of ADF , the tradies and the pokies people seemed to enjoy the atmosphere.More
