Stayed at the Motel next door and very convenient to come to this Family friendly Bistro which was excellent overall. The Schnitzel Seniors Meal with veggies and gravy was great value and well portioned. The Potatoe bake was a wonderful and delicious surprise. But can't...speak highly enough of the extremely friendly and attentive staff who made us so very welcome with my elderly relatives. Highly recommendMore

Our dinner was terrible. We would not recommend anybody to dine here, the food is overpriced and awful. We are disappointed we spent so much money on inedible food! I would have left 0 stars if I could have!

Place was very busy and popular on a Thursday evening and delivers your standard pub fare. Not an overly exciting beer selection. Had the fish and chips and it had all the makings of what you’d buy from the frozen section of the supermarket. Maybe...go the steak.More

6 of us went for Christmas lunch. Whilst most of the food was nice, the huge line up was a disaster. We were in the queue for 25 minutes for the buffet. The music was dreadful.

My family attended Christmas lunch here for the 3rd year in a row. We really enjoyed it in the past but this year we were really at a loss as to how bad it was overall. The seafood and sticky date pudding was good and...the roast turkey was ok. However, the rest of the traditional savoury Christmas food was terrible. The cooked ham was salty, the pork was dry, the roast potatoes were inedible, the green vegetables were slop, the custard was disgustingly gelatinous and the food stations (particularly around the custard) were filthy despite staff being stationed at them. They were not attentive at cleaning up around their station. The fruit salad was good but only accessible to tall people who could reach the spoon. The rest of the fruit was tasteless or not ripe. The logistics need improvement with a massive que of people lining up in front of the bar making it difficult for anyone to get drinks and tables being positioned in front of loud speakers blasting awful music from the 'country and western' singer. We were positioned right in front of him and had to ask to be moved to another table as we were blasted!! I also heard a number of people in the food que and at the bar complaining about the music. Our lunch was not worth the $99 price tag. We won't be back.More

The Blazing Stump has always been a favourite with extended family for years. I love the size of the bistro. Large & spacious. Love the huge copper vats in the bar area. The meals are always nice & large. You can't go wrong with both...the bistro meals & the bar meals. Prices are reasonable. Great place for kids. Also if you have a large group this is the place to go. The staff are always friendly & helpful. Great that there is the motel here as well if you want to stay over. Good place to stay if you are visiting the Bonegilla Migrant Experience. Highly recommend the Blazing Stump.More
