Best in Wodonga!!

La Maison has always been a favourite of ours, our first special dinner was here going on 10 years ago, each and every time we go it's always fantastic. This evening s our first dinner out since covid struck certainly didn't disappoint! Meal was fantastic, service equally so. Thank you for always providing exceptional food and service over these many years, this is why we will always return to celebrate lifes moments with you!

Simply the Best

Absolutely amazing, the food so flavoursome and cooked to perfection. The staff , wonderful and helpful , the venue so warm and cosy with the lovely warm open fire. We have dined her over the years , morning tea, lunch and Dinner and not once have they faulted with the meals or service . Well done La Maisons you outshine all the local ( Albury/ Wodonga ) Restaurants

This place is always good at everything they do

We’ve dined here many times before. Everything they do is excellent. Over time we’ve worked our way through the whole menu, every dish is a winner. Their wine list is great and by the glass they give a refreshingly generous pour. Prior to this visit I thought they could not improve on such excellence, but that they did, they have managed to raise the bar to an even higher level. This is the must go to cafe/restaurant in the greater Albury/Wodonga area.

Magnificent menu and superb service

From the moment you enter until the moment you leave,you are treated as a VIP. The menu offers a wonderful selection of choice from tapas,mains and desserts, created from fresh ,local ingredients. Definitely a top choice for fabulous dining in Albury/Wodonga .

Australian middle-eastern in an old stone cottage

My wife and I loved La Maison. When you walk into the restaurant you enter what looks like a small dining room, but the owner takes you through to a really pleasant fully covered outdoor/indoor eating area. We started with the trio of dips which was a great choice. My partner had the prawn and garlic linguini while I had the roast lamb shoulder, which was melt-in-your-mouth perfect with spiced carrots. We passed on dessert because of we didn’t have time, but there was enough to pique my interest. We were only passing through, but we will try and stop again.

Memorable meal

Amazing service and food was fantastic! The food was rich, decadent and flavoursome and meat was perfectly cooked. The wait staff are exceptional and go above and beyond with their service and attention to detail. Would highly recommend and hope to return again soon for another memorable experience.

The team at La Maison go the extra mile, my wife and I enjoyed the corn fritters, served with smashed avocado and fresh salsa, the grilled octopus salad, an epic Korean chicken with a side of rice and bok choy. All washed down with a very reasonably priced Rosé from Provence. The service under very busy conditions was excellent. One of our top 3 restaurants on the Border. Thank again to everyone who made our day so special.

Disappointed

After the reviews; I really wanted to experience this restaurant ond it's love for food. Upon arrival of the main, the seafood paella, it wasn't cooked. The rice was undercooked. Next I ordered the beef cheeks as a replacement; sadly again, the vegetables and entourage weren't cooked either (didn't taste the beef cheeks). Luckily, the service was understanding but my embarrassment not only for myself but the table was horrendous. On the last attempt and a friendly waiter (French speaking), I had success. This meal found the love and patience it deserved.

The highlight of our trip!

Whilst travelling in the Albury/Wodonga area we discovered La Maison. We arrived in the afternoon, initially thinking we would like afternoon tea, but once we realised just how lovely it was sitting on a veranda overlooking the Murray River, we decided to stay for dinner. We were not disappointed! The food was exceptional and we were given the warmest of welcomes. Wassim and his team deserve the highest credit. Not just wonderful food but an experience that we won't forget. Thank you all.

Great find while on the road

This little gem has great ambience, friendly staff, and a strong menu executed really well with a good wine list. The building has the best of federation Australiana lots of wood and texture. We had a Lebanese bread and dips and arancini for entree both were excellent. Four our main I had a prawn linguini which was the best I have ever eaten with about ten big prawns, great chillie gralic and ginger flavour and olive oil sauce. My wife had a delicious Crispy skin chicken dish. We washed it down with a local red wine reserve blend from Magyar Hill. Thoroughly recommend.

Undoubtably the best food in Albury/Wodonga

Undoubtably the best food in all of the greater Albury/Wodonga area. This is our 5th visit, once for lunch and four times for dinner. Every dish has been sensational, absolutely faultless. Their wine list is also inspiring. Looking forward to returning.

Fantastic Night

What a great place for a celebration or a quiet dinner for two. The food was excellant the staff and service top notch. We were there for a special birthday, and the owner couldn't be more attentive, even got a member of staff to help with singing Happy Birthday. Thank you for making the night special

A top quality place to dine

Charming location with great service and excellent menu choices. The calamari salad is very good and the pork belly is very tasty . The wine list is a showcase of the regions fine wines and shows a restaurant in tune with the region with wine choices to compliment the menu . Adding boutique Websters Estate to the list would be good touch . Can't praise the LaMaison lunch enough it is top class .

A great family dinner

Don’t expect a quiet conversation here – the place was packed and lively and, as is often the case with old buildings, noise-deadening just isn’t a thing! We enjoyed really fantastic service and for the most part the food was excellent. Two of our party of six loved the Pressed Lamb Shoulder, and the salmon and gnocchi dishes were pronounced to be delicious also. The Paprika Chicken was cooked with chicken breast and was very dry – most of it was left on the plate. The crispy Chinese style duck was similarly said to be quite dry. Desserts were enjoyed by all, with the Panna Cotta coming in as the clear winner! Great wine list (cocktails too) and the prices all round were a pleasant surprise.

Delicious food, great staff and exemplary service. It was our first time hut won't be our last. The pork dumplings were the best we have had, delicious confit duck and steak. The pannacotta was divine.
