3 chicken parmas ordered, they arrived suspiciously quickly with 1 salad missing. Chips and salad were average, all parmas were a soggy mess, no crispiness at all and 1 tiny bit of dried out ham on top of the sauce and cheese. Only ate half...of it because I was very hungry. After a poor experience two weeks ago, and posting a scathing review then, we went back today to give the place a chance for redemption. Here is what I wrote two weeks ago (and deleted today so I could post an updated review): If you...like your chips overcooked to the point they are crisp inside and out, AND you like parmigiana that has been placed on a cold plate and left warming so that it creates condensation and makes the bottom of the parma wet and soggy - this is the place for you! Not the first time we have been served soggy parma at this venue. They were not busy, so they obviously just don't care or have pride in their product. For me, the mouthfeel and the crispiness are the pleasure of a parma. Wet and soggy does not do the trick. The vegetables served were good. Based on today's visit, there was some redemption. We ordered the same parmigiana dishes today and requested they NOT be served soggy. They were not. They were excellent. The venue was very busy today (in comparison with our last visit). Perhaps orders were being turned around quickly and were not given the chance to sit around and get soggy. That gives them my benefit of the doubt for another time.More
Staff were very slow and not friendly. Bar staff took for ever.Food was stone cold. Had chicken scalopine which looked like it had been thrown on the plate. Atlantic summer was over cooked. Very loud music playing so we hurried our meal to get out.

Today 2 couples, our order was 2 Roast Pork with roast vegetables, Chicken Scallopini, Fish and Chips. each cost between 25.00 to 29.00 You have to pay extra for salad with the Fish and Chips. The 2 Fish pieces were a similar shape to Birds...Eye crumbed fillets from freezer isle at a supermarket and the chips were very ordinary Really not good value. The chicken dish had a mound of chicken slices, a sauce that was bordering on gluggy, laying on a small quantity of coldish mash and 3 bits of brocolini. Roast Pork had significant fat on each slice, not enough gravy and a weird tasting apple sauce. The so called crackle was a very large strip of pork skin which bent very easily, no snap and no crackle. Could not be cut or broken. Inedible. THE ROAST VEGETABLES WERE REALLY REALLY GOOD. But for what was paid for 4 people it was hugely disappointing. Wont be returning for a while. There are many better optionsMore
The Fox/Venten family recently had a Sunday lunch there. It was full, with large family gatherings and birthday parties. Food was not too bad and reasonable priced.
We stumbled across this place by accident last week (May 2022) and tried lunch there. The food and service were great, and the value, especially the seniors menu, outstanding. We had the roast pork and the calamari, and both dishes were tasty, well cooked, and...a pleasure to eat. Ambience wise, it's wood grain Formica tables, no tablecloths, and order at the bar. So, half a step up from an RSL or a pub lunch insofar as the venue is concerned, but, as stated, the food was far superior to an RSL or pub. The staff were helpful and friendly and we'll definitely be back.More
Held my birthday celebration at WHC. It was a fantastic night. Venue, food and service was excellent. All 30 of us had a great time. I'd definitely hold another function there. Many thanks to Adam and his team.
I went to the Wantirna Hill club for a long awaited lunch with friends. The food was dry and horrible Chicken Schnitzel and the vegetables were hard and unappetizing. It used to be a good place to eat. The staff are rude and unhappy. I...won't be going back ever.More
The first meal back since re-opening post-COVID lockdowns. The venue is in the process of installing a lift - a bonus given the difficulty in using its spiral staircase - so a temporary entrance is in use. Terrific safety precautions; sign-in, vax-check, sanitisers, ample seating...distances, half the dining room open. Service was quick, the food was as good as ever.More
This was our #1 but since Covid there seems to be a change of staff and certainly a change of menu...and it's gone downhill. One of our out-of-covid visit the wrong dinners were served and by the time they corrected the problem all of us...had eaten at different times. Last night will be the last time for a while: The order took forever because the staff member couldnt work the consol and charged $10 more, it took four pours to get a pot, 4 Pines Light, and he mixed it with a lager... and was charged for a scooner, the mains were good but I had to ask twice for my dessert, second time was wrong. There are other restaurants that also need our patronage.More
This venue provided good pub-type food at a reasonable price. Lots of senior's options are available, and some good shop-a-docket offers too. Huge parmigiana, and the chips are not going soggy underneath the schnitty. I had the "Italian" version his time with a hearty bolognaise...sauce. The sauce was a bit over-sweetened to take away the tomato acidity, but I was offered (and declined) a replacement. All credit for that.More
Went to restaurant to use a 2 for 1 Entertainment Book voucher. I chose the Mixed Grill which was exceptional in both taste and portion size. So much food I was able to take enough home for dinner the next night. My husband chose the...Eye FILLET steak. Same price for a small portion. He was disappointed. My husband and I came for a one off date night that we rarely get away from our children , we got sat next to a couple eating there dinner we were so close we could hear them chewing there dinner . We got to...the bistro at 5.40pm there were numerous of tables they could’ve put us on and they chose right there!! When asked to move so my husband and could acctually sit and have a date night I got told he would look at the laptop to which he had a quick flick and said no sorry . The Sunday bistro lunch seemed to be a certain age demographic. And why not, when Seniors menu is $11 for one course and $14 for two! Our order was for thick pumpkin soup for starters with hot dinner rolls, followed by salted deep-fried calamari rings...with chips and salad, and a Thai beef salad. Serves were decent in size, and the Thai marinated beef was moist and flavoursome, and plentiful amongst the Thai salad with rice noodles for crunch. Delicious. Service was attentive. Pokies are right next door if that appeals and there’s ample parking downstairs.More
