Visiting overnight we decided to stop in here for breakfast as it had a nice beachfront view from the tables outside. Overall, the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Our only downfall was probably the prices in comparison to other local eateries....There seemed to be a couple of other nearby cafes struggling to compete with the volume of customers who flock to the pond, so be sure to look at everything around!More

Breakfast here is top notch. Some very different options that are all tasty. Service is great and the space right opposite the beach is superb

easily becoming my go-to venue for brekky in torquay... the service... the quality of food... the atmosphere/energy are all second to none... always an awesome experience at a great price... the staff are always happy/friendly and extremely helpful and hard working... recommend it to everyone

Met a friend here for lunch recently. Was a busy time when we dropped by and the service was excellent and friendly. I enjoyed the beef brisket sandwich and my friend the Mexican bowl. Both were great. Definitely recommend this place for lunch.

The wait staff here are amazing, they are attentive but not overbearing. We had breakfast here twice in one weekend, and would highly recommend. I have a new go to when in Torquay. The Ponds Breakfast is a perfect combination of flavours and really well...cooked, from the perfectly poached eggs, to the warmed mushrooms and perfect sourdough toast. My other half is a Cafe nightmare, doesn't eat eggs, makes a lot of menu options no go, and in some cases cafes. The Ponds have a great three cheese and ham toasted sandwich on the takeaway menu, if you ask nicely they will happily serve in the seated Cafe. Coffee is the best, it's right temp, milk frothed and velvety. If you're in Torquay, do yourself a favour go here for breakfast. We're definitely making a point of coming back.More

I visited for lunch and found the menu here better suited for breakfast or brunch. I ordered the vegetarian roasted carrots dish which was predominantly brown rice so was a little disappointed as was hoping for more veggies. I hear they do great coffees here....The pressed juices are small and I thought over priced. The smashed pea dish on toast looked great as did the burgers and chicken Vietnamese salad. I think I just chose poorly. Service very friendly. Will try again.More

We were here for lunch, and were impressed by the quick and responsive service and good coffee. The slow roasted beef brisket sandwich and the red quinoa salad were both very satisfactory too.

I had brunch here with friends. Good service. Not a huge amount on the menu to choose from but all the food I saw coming out looked really good. I got the Full Pond which was really good. Photo attached

Disappointed with the meal that was very plain for the price. My chai latte was so strong it almost burnt and I could not drink it. I explained this to the waitress taking our order and she did not even acknowledge I had spoken ,...no response at all. Accidents happen but this was just rudeness and poor customer service . My friends Cappuccino was also cold . Won’t be returning .More

Coffee was good, meal sizes were small and service was there if you needed it but they weren’t chasing you for an order.

I love the coffee and breakfasts here and was not disappointed. We again sat outside in the beautiful sun. A quick turnover of tables meant we didn't wait long. The menu has changed, but food was delicious as ever. Vietnamese bowl with mushrooms tasty with...a little kick of chilli. Smoked salmon tartine sophisticated and yummy. Will definitely visit again.More

Great place on the Esplanade with probably the best coffee I have had In Torquay and the full pond breakfast is great.
