The Royal Hotel (also known as the famous "Moody"s Hotel in Russell Drysdale"s painting) is one of the oldest buildings in Seymour. Original Cobb & Co stables at the rear of hotel. The Royal hotel was a great break on a drive 1.5 hours out of Melbourne. Great friendly atmosphere of a country pub. Food was really good, we enjoyed the chicken souvlaki, very tasty. The Staff were warm and friendly.

Thank you, Greg. We didn't take the beef schnitzel off the menu by choice. There were a couple of factors that led to that decision...taking a best seller off the menu is not something one does lightly!

Paul n Leigh and staff of the Royal Hotel seem to have it down-pat with providing quality meals and in a timely fashion!
We are a coach load of friends (32) travelling back on a Monday from the Murray River after a long weekend.
This is an amazing pub will of history, great food and variety of beverages. I’ve been here many times with my hubby, family and friends.
The food is delicious and they service is great.
You can dine in or outside in the beer garden.
