I was part of a group of 14 that visited, and we had fantastic service as soon as we arrived. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Special shout out to Paul and John who made sure we had a great time! Definitely recommend this place
Interested to find that the ownership of the Hotel had changed once more and a bit apprehensive as to what we might find. Immediate plus was the partially fulfilled intent of the new owners to renovate the premises and the dining area had already received...some commendable attention.
The new owners appeared to be from the UK where pubs are frequented and understood so all we required was available without question. Nice varied menu without the exorbitant prices tending to creep into the industry. Even the good wine was retailed at a good price and a drop of Brown Brothers never goes astray.
My Wife, Sister and I enjoyed ourselves immensely and this is what you expect from a day out. Certainty recommended to all.More
It was with great pleasure to return to the Royal Hotel Seymour after 2 years of lockdowns. My uncle, auntie and myself drove from Melbourne to have lunch with my wonderful dad who lives in Seymour. We thoroughly enjoyed dining out in the glorious weather...in the generous sized and comfortable Beer Garden. Our seafood dishes of Blue Grenadier beer battered fillets, Salt and pepper squid and Crumbed prawn cutlets x 2 were all generous in portions and absolutely delicious. Yvonne and all the staff that served us or talked to us (including the gardener) were friendly, helpful and delightful. I highly recommend dining at the Royal Hotel. Just a short trip down Manners St from the Royal you can enjoy the nature of Lions Park and dip your feet in the Goulburn River!! A perfect day had by allMore
Great pub for meals, food excellent . Waitress friendly
we were staying in the accommodation , rooms are ok although a bit small for 3 beds, others are ok.
Unfortunately Thursday night we had the Juke box playing till 3 am, very rude manager. He...was cleaning up with music blaring.Didn’t even turn it down when asked to. As we had to get up early ,we didn’t get much sleep.
Also showers are a bit ordinary. But you get what you pay for.
Do not ask for a room above the bar.
Other than that not too badMore
Been looking for a good beef Schnitzel for quite awhile and found one here, outstanding. Good cold beer presented in well maintained glasses, which had a good collar and excellent lacing which they held during the consumption of my drinks, beer was delicious (Max paid...added to to taste), overall very happy with the service and product available highly recommend.More
Sat outside in a pleasant garden, but unfortunately not peaceful as there is a carpark adjacent to garden which was filled with loud bar patrons having their drinks in carpark. Service was ok . We started with fried Camembert—not bad. My husband and I both...ordered the special which was rump steak. My husband seemed ok with his as he ordered it with gravy and mash which he never gets at home! My steak was not good, I ordered it rare— but it was uneven thickness, so a small part was rare other parts were not. The cut of meat was substandard...lots of tough fat and fatty bits. It was not cheap. I gave two stars as my husband said his wasn’t bad, but quite frankly, when I go to a restaurant, even a pub, I expect better than not bad. Sorry, but I can’t recommendMore
Looking for a pub feed and it was the first one we came across as we entered town. Initially drove passed it as from the outside it looks very tired. A coat of paint on the outside would surely make it a lot busier because...many people judge a book by it's cover. Decided to go back and we were very apprehensive about going inside and expected the worst. What we got was the exact opposite! Clean, neat and very tidy not to mention quite modern. Staff very friendly and meals to die for. Highly recommend!More
