Ordered a couple's hamper in lockdown for our Bastille day celebration. Ordering, payment and pickup were easy. Wow - the 4 courses were all great! Reheating instructions were clear and simple with minimum effort. Grougeres for starter, then salmon tartare with amazing tapioca crisps, delicious confit duck a l'orange with potato gratin & beans, then creme caramel. it's not easy to pre cook and pack meals- excellent result thank you. We will be back for more.

Home delivered hamper from Gitan at Home was an experience well waiting for. Duck and Chicken liver parfait with perfectly matched cornichons and sour dough croutons was followed by Cassoulet with duck confit, pork belly and morteau sausage and an accompaniment of gratin Dauphinois. There was no way that we had room for the quiche Lorraine or the dessert of Chocolate Pot De Crème, but we look forward to enjoying them tonight. Thank you Gitan for allowing us to enjoy such a delicious meal at home without risking contamination amid the COVID-19 shutdown.

Really comfortable settings, with great helpful staff, The restaurant had a nice vibe and patrons were enjoying themselves
I was disappointed with the food though. My cheese soufflé tasted and looked more like cheese custard and although it was really rich, it did not entice me to go back for more or to finish the dish. It was my first time that i could not finish a cheese soufflé. The roast pork i had ordered as my main cause had crispy skin but the loin was well overcooked. The sauce on that dish though was amazing and full of flavor along with the onion puree. The mango soufflé that i had ordered for my dessert was delicious, fluffy, accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and i could have easily had another one.
I would definitely go back though and try other other dishes - It was good and above average

Having visited the restaurant many times before, this encounter was not the best. The waitperson, maybe thinking she was being efficient, was impersonal, abrupt to a point of being rude. As l choose the 150 gm steak, l expected a small piece, not not the incredibly small piece that arrived. Almost 3 bites.
When it came to paying the bill, on checking it, l realized it was not my bill. When l informed the waitperson, she grabbed it out of my hand and informed me i had received the incorrect bill, no apology.
Not the most enjoyable evening.

It’s just pub food served by forgetful staff. The steaks lack flavor being cooked on a gas grill and over salted, french fries are identical to McDonalds. Metrosexual staff are unorganized forgetting mustard, wine and finally the bill. The acoustics are shocking.

Recently, my spouse and I dined at this establishment and we had a generally enjoyable experience. The food was delectable with a fresh and aesthetically pleasing presentation, and the service was commendable. However, there was one notable issue that detracted from our satisfaction: the serving sizes.
The entree was diminutive and even the main courses were equivalent in size to typical entree. While the dessert was the most substantial of the three dishes, it was predominantly made up of fluffy cream and lacked satiety. My main course was the duck, and I believe that adding some extra vegetables would have been a simple way to improve the dish. Additionally, the amount of food on the plate only covered a third of the space, leading us to deduct one star and award a rating of four stars.
I would be happy to try this venue again, but I would politely tell the waiter that I expected an adequate portion.

First time at L’Hotel Gitan and was greatly pleased. Had the escargot and cordon bleu (coz I hardly find this dish in a French restaurant here) . They were delicious! There were plenty of nice toasted bread for my escargots so I can dunk them in the garlic sauce .Cordon bleu was crispy outside and moist inside, perfect!! They had a great wine list as well . The servicing crew were very attentive and friendly. A great place for a nice dinner.

Our family was lucky enough to order our first ever meal from Hotel Gitan - the Fathers’ Day four courses menu (and aperitif). The food and alcohol was absolutely gorgeous and they went above and beyond on service. We will definitely be return customers.

I came here for my friend’s birthday which was very lovely. Food was really good and the majority of the service was excellent.
However we did have one waiter try and tell us that a customer was complaining about one of our babies crying and that we needed to take them outside or to the back. I was honestly a bit speechless as his tears were nothing compared to the noisiness of the entire restaurant! I’d understand if it was a tantrum or a screeching but it was honestly just some quiet sad tears we’re talking about here. Are children supposed to be muzzled out in public because some snob cannot handle public noises anymore?
Oh and this was followed with the dessert menu being out on our table like “but I still want your money” kind of attitude.
Anyways, what an idiot.
After ignoring him it didn’t come up again though so who knows what that was all about.

Went for my wife's birthday this last week.....the waiter was friendly albeit a bit to familiar, but the food was very good.
Nothing to complain about other than we ate way to much. Highly recommend a visit

Great food and service and can't recommend highly enough. The staff were fantastic and professional, very attentive and great fun. The meals were generous and value for money so the price shouldn't be a worry. Some side dishes were enough for two so check first. The drinks range was extensive.
We will be back soon.
