The restaurant has an interesting layout in a historic building, it's divided into 3 sections inside. Our meal was really wonderful - to start with I had the prawns wrapped in prosciutto (a special on the night) which were amazing the prosciutto was super crunchy...wrapped around excellent prawns. My husband has the seafood chowder which was also excellent. We had coral perch and eye fillet as main courses and again they were both delicious. The quality of the food was really great. The staff were lovely very friendly and helpful particularly in offering us wine to taste prior to ordering so we didn't order something we didn't like! Highly recommended, you need to book as it's always full which is a testament to the high quality of the food.More

The menu was delicious. Staff were friendly and competent. Prices are high but quality costs money. The decor is quaint. We sat in the garden which was lovely. Highly recommend.

The menu said fresh local fish, what was on offer was Tasmanian farmed salmon, coral trout from North Queensland & silver Dory! Only 1 possibly local. The Dory was ok & plenty of it but no real Chef in the kitchen. Lamb rack was very...good a plainly cooked. Asked about the platter & can understand what other reviews said, certainly not worth the money with no prawn or crayfish. Would not visit again.More

Our first visit to Blake’s and we hope we’ll have an opportunity to be back! The food was delicious - the freshest of seafood - and all served with a smile and great chat. We’d recommend Blake’s to anyone in search of the best of...Aussie dining.More

We stayed in Port Fairy for four nights and ate at four restaurants that rated highly on TripAdvisor. Blake’s was a stand out. The service was excellent and the food first class. We had the seafood platter. It was varied, plentiful and very very tasty....A superb meal for a special occasion or just for a great night out. Thanks t9 all at Blakes.More

We had a very nice meal at Blakes tonight. Atmosphere was nice and the service good. Food was very good. I had seafood chowder to start and Marina had oysters natural, both were very good dishes. For mains we both had perch, one of the...fish of the day dishes. We finished with a cheese board which was very tasty, well presented and generous. The drinks list was good and well priced. Overall a very good meal. Recommend.More

Had to have the fresh local scallops for entree and wasn't disappointed. The main course for her was the Barramundi which was fresh, sizeable and flavoursome and the huge ribeye steak for me (chef's special on the night) was tender and perfectly cooked to my...liking. I should have queried the size because it was a very large piece of meat!More

We loved our meal at Blakes with the 3 of us enjoying our differing entrees of the scallops, mussels and the chowder. We then went for the seafood platter for 3. It looked spectacular and tasted just as good.
