We returned to our favourite restaurant in Port Fairy. Everyone enjoyed the two course meal. Service and food exceptional. Highly recommend fish of the day and steak.

My family went to dinner at Blakes last night. The wine list was limited. We had 2 courses. We liked the mussels, the grilled Coral perch and lamb. The servings were generous. The service was mostly fine and could give us more personal space at...timesMore

While spending a few nights in Port Fairy we thought ahead and booked at Blake's for dinner - they were fully booked for the week. After eating there we can understand why a booking is needed. The food was wonderful - Irish seafood chowder -...never tasted better. The mussels were great and plentiful and then we both had locally caught Perch - beautifully cooked - fresh with choice of potatoes or lentils & accompanied with a roasted vegetable salad. We finished off with a rhubarb & raspberry crumble - simple but full of flavour. We would recommend Blake's to anyone! Service was friendly and very efficient. If you are in the area give them a try - you won't be disappointed.More

We went to Blake's on a previous visit early this year and absolutely loved it. So when we planned a return trip to Port Fairy we made sure we booked in for 2 of the 3 nights we spent there! (we'd have booked for the...3 nights but they weren't open on Tuesday!!). Chef Tom Blake uses locally sourced quality ingredients and the cooking is sensational. The delightful Donna runs the front of house with warmth and efficiency. My husband's rack of lamb was pronounced the best lamb he'd ever eaten and my coral perch was delicate and delicious. We will probably go back to Port Fairy just so we can enjoy eating at Blake's again. Highly recommended and don't forget to book as it's extremely popular.More

After trying for 2 years to book this highly rated restaurant in our town, we finally made it through the front door. We enjoyed a brilliant 3 course meal , including chowder which was of Maine, USA quality, perfectly presented and a delight to eat....My mains were a delicately cooked rack of lamb with sides of vegetables. Meat purveyors in Port Fairy sell meat of stellar standard and the Blakes' rack of lamb was probably the best I have experienced . My wife enjoyed a succulent local fish, prepared and cooked to perfection. We both found the creme brulee exquisite. A Coonawarra Chardonnay topped off a perfect gastronomic experience. The down side was that there were inadequate staff numbers, who apologised for spending their time on the phone instead of serving the diners. Realistically, for a $200 meal in a resort town , they needed to employ sufficient staff. The other issue is that the ambience was ruined by tightly packed diners in tiny rooms - we didn't want to hear about the private lives of the other diners - surely a set of Bose speakers playing background music would alleviate this problem. All in all Blakes is a great restaurant and we will certainly (attempt) to take our friends and family along for a quality gastronomic experience. We are locals and consider we are very fortunate to have a restaurant of such quality in our townMore

What delightful ambience complimented by good food and pleasant wait staff. The soup of the day cauliflower and fennel was delicate, local fish and local wines. High quality well priced.

We enjoyed a special birthday party/dinner at Blake’s. The food was delicious and we were well looked after. In particular the seafood was so fresh and locally sourced. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yes children are very welcome but please be advised we don’t offer a children’s menu. Our younger guests happily eat off our a la carte menu. Thanks
