Sunday night in Port Fairy is not the easiest place to find anywhere open never mind a quality eatery mixing take-away with table service.
Pizza and Thai is, on the surface, a very odd combination but it really works. With a hard working owner supported by an excellent team, the results are outstanding. The satay skewers were excellent and my wife’s sweet and sour chicken was first class. My pizza was not too heavy with a thin crust and first rate toppings. There is a very good beer and wine selection, matched to the menu and the pricing represents good value.
Overall, superb value and a lovely evening - the novelty robot waiter (Bellabot) is a worrying glimpse of the future but it only enhances this charming venue.
Well done Alex - you deserve success.

Alexo’s has a very varied menu including pizza, Thai food, curries and family favourites.
We enjoyed beautiful authentic Thai meals, some of the nicest flavours we’ve ever tasted. Servings were generous size, tasty fresh vegetables.
Small restaurant dealing with dine-in and take away, staff were busy yet service was prompt and efficient.
The Port Fairy music festival was in full swing and we were glad we had made a booking.

We were dining with family from Austria and the owner Alex, could not have been more welcoming to them. So much so, he put German music on for them ... got them up dancing to it and joined us for a drink after closing time. We swapped our "stories" which led to Alex playing his guitar and my family singing along. Never in our wildest dreams did we think our night out for dinner would end with everlasting memories of a small restaurant in Port Fairy.
And if that wasn't enough ... the food was delicious!!!
5 stars is just not enough to rate the brilliant time and dinner we had there!! All the staff were happy and clearly enjoy working there also.
Everybody should dine here at least once in their lives. Thank you Alex for bringing smiles to all of our faces as we headed home for the night.

We had takeaway pizza 🍕 from Alexis tonight. If I had heated it up from the supermarket it would probably have been better. Gourmet pork pizza.
You needed a microscope to find the pork with two thin strips of capsicum and cheese. It cost $26.

Small intimate restaurant in Sackville Street.Received a warm welcome at the door.
Service was friendly and efficient.
We shared chicken satay and a main of beef rendang,all well cooked and tasty.
At the end chef Alex came round for a chat.All in all a very pleasant dining experience.

I have to admit we were sceptical of a combined Italian/Asian restaurant and went in with low expectations. We couldn’t decide between pizza or noodles, so we ordered one of each and shared.
We were blown away by the amazing food, it was so good I asked for the recipe!
The service was friendly and relaxed, and despite being busy our food arrived within 10-15 minutes.
A good selection of Beer and Wine on the menu

Great food, hot and tasty. Service was just right and made just that touch above by maitre d wandering by and checking if we had a drink...that food was on its way...had enjoyed food, not obtrusive just pleasant banter. Seafood curry had lots of succulent prawns and a delectable sauce. Husband had sweet and sour chicken which he thoroughly enjoyed also.

Alexos will be a treasured memory after our family recently visited this Port Fairy restaurant. Alex the owner made our evening so sensational it’s hard to believe it happened. Not only is the food, wine and service superb, Alex welcomed us like family and sat at our table and welcomed our overseas guest and played his guitar and sang. He was generous with his hospitality and shared his life path. Certainly an amazing, kind and sincere host. So much great food, laughter and joy shared this night. Thankyou Alex.

Pick one or the other it can’t work, right? No wrong the team at Alexo make it work and make it work well! Add to this great, friendly staff. Pizza’s were great. Place was busy they had bookings, many rake away pick ups, yet still made space for us who just walked in. Food was delicious and to add the kids were so excited to have a drinks robot come to the table. You need to try this place and judge for yourself. Great if you have fussy little eaters and you are craving Thai! Will need to fit one more visit before going home this trip.

Have to be honest, we only went here because we couldn’t get in any of the other restaurants - what a pleasant surprise we had!
The service and food were absolutely first class - we shared a couple of their curries that were so beautiful and tasty washed down with a bottle of Tasmanian Pinot noir. They even served the Pinot with the correct glasses. If you visit Port Fairy, you must try the food here, or even have it delivered to your accommodation - it really is that good.

So disappointed. Ordered two pizzas for pickup. Arrived. Only had one pizza. Explained I had ordered two pizzas for pickup. They said they would do a second pizza. When I got home I opened the box to find a dried out pizza. Obviously an order that someone hadn’t picked up that had just been reheated to fix their error. So disappointed as Alexo’s is an expensive pizza place.

We were absolutely blown away with this treasure and can see why it rates as #1. We expected good from recent reviews, but honestly, it was amazing! Authentic Indonesian dishes and an extensive pizza menu. Great location and atmosphere, cosy spot to dine & friendly staff. The owner Alex strives for customer satisfaction, he's extremely attentive and you can see how much love goes in to his meals. Alex checked in on us and we were fortunate enough to hear his story and how the foundation for this Indonesian/Pizza Restaurant came to be - a highly experienced Indonesian & Italian chef!

This may look plain from the outside but… this place is amazing. Great Asian food, fresh and tasty - Singapore noodles were a real highlight along with other great Asian meals. We didn’t try the pizzas but from the rate of takeaways leaving the shop during our time eating in, we reckon they must be as good as the meals we experienced. Alexo himself was helpful with our dietary requirements. Book or you won’t get in - and believe us - you don’t want to miss out! Definitely on our list when we are next in Port Fairy.

Fabulous meal, great vibe and Alex is a wonderful chef/host. I’m vegan and he had no problem making the Cashew stir fry vegan. Hubby had Chicken Green Curry and teenagers had satay noodles and Hawaiian pizza respectively. Everyone loved their meal! Such a great first meal of trip away to Port Fairy. Thank you Alex and team for a great evening!

We ordered the beef rendang curry.
It might be just my experience, but every rendang I have ever had was saucy and moist.
This one has NO sauce.
Any wonder why the girl on the phone was confused at our request for extra rice. With no sauce to sop up, we didnt need it.
And I have never had broccoli in Rendang.
