Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great pies and great people! Prices are very reasonable and there is a variety of options to choose from. Good spot to get some breakfast before a long day of traveling!

Popped in for lunch with my wife and Daughter. I had a great coffee, and a very filling Ham and Cheese baguette. Great service with a smile and a chat!

If you want a sandwich of any description you can get one here. Not particularly friendly service. While we were waiting four girls walked in, were completely ignored and so left and went across the road. Croissants that were toasted were cold in the middle....Coffee was ok.More

Just stay away! The food is meh but the woman overcharged me by over $5! What kind of petty con is that? The town has little open but you'll be better off at the market.

Very surprised about the negative reviews for Cafe Lords - perhaps they are old and not reflective of the current experience. We went there for breakfast and found both the staff and the food to be excellent. The food was hot, the day's papers freshly...delivered, and access for a walker (or wheel-chair) not a problem. It was winter - raining and cold outside, but warm and welcoming inside. We would definitely go there again.More

$36 for 2 cold in the middle pies and sausage roll. The toastie was made with plastic cheese and the coffee was mostly water and sugar. Really really disappointed considering the price!

Great local Café which serves nice Pies, Pasties and sausage rolls and a cold drink and takeaway to each at the local beach area.

Place is apparently open for takeaway and eat in. Regardless you got takeaway coffee cups and food in a paper bag. One lady behind the counter at the coffee machine - no eye contact with customers, did have her mask on properly. The other woman...made no attempt to lift her mask from under her chin when she came to the counter to take orders. No rappore, very blunt and didn't seem too interested in being there. Food was okay but atmosphere disappointing. Second lady seen not too long after with staff member? from the 12 rocks cafe having a smoke.More

with no bakery in town we struggled to find a pie until we saw the sign out the front of Lords. We checked in but there was no check. I ordered the pepper steak pie and it had good size chunks of tasty melt in...your mouth meat with a hint of pepper. Outdoor undercover seating area was handy on a sunny day.More

I walked I with my son to have a look at the menu/ food selection as was meet with stone cold silence. The woman behind the counter had no customer service skills at all! She then proceeded to shout at me from behind the counter....In shock I left and told her how rude she was. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, I have no idea how this person has a cafe.More

The espresso was so expensive and it was horrible, it taste like charcol. We ask for some hot water and they didn’t give it to us. My friends order tostie that are so expensive and the bread was terrible. The mufines are so expensive for...the low quality that it has. The costumes service was so bad. Any other cafe would be better to go.More

During these difficult 'Covid' times we appreciate the need for us to support local communities and businesses now more than ever so I do feel uncomfortable not being able to furnish any praise upon this Cafe. However for many of us finances are increasingly limited...and when we decide to eat out we want to enjoy our selections and receive value for money. Sadly my experience at the Cafe Lords Bakery in Port Campbell was disappointing and I couldn't help but feel that I wasted my money. I purchased a Blueberry Tart that was a decent size & looked lovely in the display case. The reality was that it was tasteless & hard to the point of seeming stale. Although I was hungry and didn't have money to spare I ended up giving the Tart to the Seagulls. At least that was entertaining. The Cappucino was forgettable and I cannot recommend it. Atmosphere was unwelcoming and Staff didn't seem interested in me as a Customer. I did not stay inside long enough to form an opinion as to hygiene. I do not recall Staff wearing a Face Mask. Summary: Yes everyone has good days and bad. Maybe my visit coincided with the Owners having a rare "off-day". Nevertheless I paid $10.50 for a Coffee and Tart only to feed the latter to the Wildlife. Suffice to say when next in Port Campbell and feeling peckish I will not be returning to this eatery. Thank you for reading this Review, I hope that it has been helpful.More
