This friendly, busy cafe is clearly popular with locals and visitors. We sat inside at an open window looking out onto the main street, perfect for the warm day. Orders can be placed via QR code on the tables or at the counter. There’s a wide selection on the menu. I had the delicious granola. My Coeliac wife ordered a gluten-free option of the egg/bacon/spinach breakfast roll. Her GF roll was rock-hard and she was unable to cut it. She left it on the plate. We suspect the hardness was due to it coming straight from the freezer to the grill. The coffee was excellent. The service was good too. It's worth trying if you’re in Lorne.

Firstly, didn't need to ask for a menu, our hostess saw what we were needing and gave them to us.
Secondly, all day breakfast in a cafe where staff are attentive and cleaning tables even when busy.
Thirdly, great kebabs and selection of cakes and other meals.
We will be back next time we are in Lorne!

We went twice in a row because food was amazing!!!! The boy serving both days nice accommodating and great for front house staff. The food was the absolute stand out and pricing actually. A lorne bene only 23 and the scones 2.50 I really believe they should put their prices up. We used to charge 20 for a bene and half piece of bacon and no spinach!! Not sure when going back but please visit and try their toasties as well. Even kids chicken nuggets were amazing!!!

First morning in Lorne and decided to have a yummy brunch to start our day. We both chose smoked salmon bagels. We love them…. Toasty with cream cheese, smoked salmon and avo. Well not quite what we were expecting. Bagel was only warmed, barely a smear of cream cheese, single layer of smoked salmon but the amount of avo was over the top!!! It literally oozed out the top and up my nose! Now we love avo but this was ridiculous and embarrassing to get it out of my nose!! Coffee was ok, service average but disappointed by the food. Plenty of other breakfast options in Lorne

Lunch to be forgotten
Not sure what the rest of the menu is like but give the “Chicken Nasi Goreng” a miss.
The chef needs to revisit the books on this one. While freshly made it was flavourless and does not represent the Indonesian dish which is not hard to make.
Service was friendly, but try something else on the menu.

We dined here three times in two days, that’s how good the menu is. The soup, the vegetarian dishes, the pizza and the melt in your mouth calamari were all delicious and reasonably priced. The best place to eat in Lorne.

Lorne Central is a well run eatery in Lorne catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Manager effortlessly develops a rapport with you as soon as you enter the restaurant. We had dinner here and enjoyed an excellent meal with wines at reasonable prices. Will try the pizzas next visit. Highly recommended.

We ate here with the family and it was delicious. Everyone loved their meal, including our 8 year old grandson who ordered pizza (great range of choices, I will return to try them!) and almost finished the whole thing. Bryce, was delightful, attentive yet not in your face. Not to mention the views that were to die for. All in all a wonderful experience, don’t miss it.

We dined in for breakfast and the service and quality of food was fantastic! My husband had a large latte which was great and we ordered the egg and bacon burger and “The Central” breakfast. Came out quickly and was hot. Good quality food. Fantastic service and friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Recommended stop in for lunch as you take in the blissful views of the Lorne beach. Plenty to choose from to slate any hunger. The chicken burger was delicious, sorry no pictures was too hungry and ate quickly. Pictures are of a kids nuggets and eggs benedict. The menu is also here to show the variety.

We have been twice. 1st for coffee and Banana bread, today was breakfast. One of us had scrambled eggs the other the cental (big Breakfast).
Coffee food and service were all top notch. Special mention to our server a young man with a beard who was attentive, great at upwelling really on top of his game. All staff we have dealt with were great.

Great breakfast and quick service.
Hubby said it was the best coffee he had all week, mine was abit too strong for my liking (it always seems way stronger with soy milk).
The bacon was sooooo good and eggs were nice and runny. The only complaint I would have is they don’t have pancakes on the menu for the kids, and our kids don’t like waffles sorry.

We were initially met with great service for our first drinks and food order.... we were then never approached afterwards. There was over an hour between entrees and main. Food and drink quality was great (the lasagne was lacking perhaps this is were the timing issue arose). It got to the point we were eating ice as we were hungry. Overhearing other tables being offered drinks due to the food being delayed was also annoying. Would give them another go as the pizzas were amazing.

Stopped for breakfast today and had a fantastic seat overlooking the beach. Staff were all friendly and the food was very good. Pouched eggs and bacon with potato rostie and pork sausage hit the spot. Worth a stop.

We tried this eatery while at Lorne and had a perfect breakfast after working up an appetite hiking along the St George River track. Scrambled eggs, toast and a cracker of a coffee. Exceptionally friendly staff and a prime spot. Back again next visit to try out the bar area and have dinner. Could not fault this venue. Highly recommended.
