Super yummy ice cream and so many favours. We enjoyed the mixed berries, vanilla & salted caramel. They had kids sized ice creams & even offered sprinkles which is always a bonus for the kids.

Last time I went was January 2019. Huge range of flavours. Generous serving size. Very close to the beach- we grabbed our ice cream and headed to the beach so we could enjoy it there. Kids love the cute cow statue at the front of the store.

I highly recommend the licorice and strawberry flavours.
Daughter is celiac and has egg and wheat allergies. I could not recommend the awareness and care taken by the staff when handling ice cream and scoops. 10 out of 10 for Celiac awareness and 10 out of 10 for their quality ice cream.

We visit Apollo Bay regularly and often stop in for a scoop. The ice cream is amazing and the flavours are plentiful. It is a very expensive visit for families costing us $48 for 2 single scoop cones and three double scoops. I also didn’t find the staff necessarily friendly or attentive (and it was raining so it wasn’t like it was busy). As delicious as it is it is disappointing that it costs so much - even considering the current climate for businesses.

Absolutely love your ice cream however this year in Apollo Bay we felt something was missing. Not as creamy, Honeycomb pieces were soft, pineapple had little flavour. On returning to Geelong and buying a tub of Honeycomb the old flavour and creaminess is there. What is happening to the ice cream you are serving to the tourists ? Too much ice ?

It’s hard to knock a place that has won tons of awards for their ice cream. I liked that I could sample as many flavors as I wanted. I tried the Vegemite. I’m glad it was ice cream because it wasn’t quite as disgusting as the real thing probably is. HA. I ended up with some very delicious licorice ice cream. I was a happy guy!

On the Great Ocean Road tour we stopped for a quick beach and ice cream break.
The only place outside of Italy where I have seen ricotta with fig jam flavour, but Vegemite flavour ice cream was a first for me. Such a wide choice of flavours everyone is bound to find a favourite.

We spotted the queue for this shop when we first arrived at Apollo Bay. It was definitely worth it! Despite the long queue the wait was not that long, the employees did an amazing job quickly serving everyone. The flavours were so good, choice of ice cream, gelato and sorbet. I felt the prices were very reasonable and comparable to other ice creameries I’ve visited

We visited Dooley's on our cycling holiday after reading a bunch of great reviews. I can now understand what all the hype was about. I grabbed a licorice ice cream (don't normally like licorice but wanted to be adventurous) and my partner had the strawberry icecream. Both werd amazing but I was seriously impressed by the richness of flavour and balance of aniseed in the licorice ice cream. Really skillful. Also loved the smooth, creamy texture - you can tell the ice cream was fresh!

I waited to be served as 2 staff were working and the free staff member l was waiting for, to be served by, kept chatting/flirting? with the hard working young man. Eventually she saw me waiving my credit card in the air.
The ice creams, malted hazelnut and honey almond, were average. Perhaps l had not chosen the award winning ones, whichever they were.
I was a bit disappointed overall by the whole experience.

Stopped in Apollo Bay for lunch while touring Great Ocean Road. Decided to come here for dessert. They have some very unique flavors -- if you want to try vegamite ice cream, here's your chance. LOL I went with a more traditional choice of Bailey's and coffee chocolate crunch. Was excellent.

We were thrilled to find Dooley’s, just up the street from our lunch at George’s.. The Honey Malt ice cream was amazing and paired superbly well with Coffee.
Hubs does not like overtly milky taste and he really loved Dooley’s - it was perfectly balanced.

We had ridden to Apollo Bay from cape Otway and spotted Dooleys on our way to our Motel just around the corner. After checking in we returned to Dooleys for an ice cream and were glad we did. Great taste and texture greeted both of us. My partners liquorice gelato looked the part as did my lemon curd version and both tasted great.

Stopped in Apollo Bay for the anfternoon and enjoyed some tasty ice cream from this popular shop. Although it was busy when we were there, we were served promptly and enjoyed the flavours we chose. The Malt honey was something new to us, but was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend it.

Also, young (70 year old adults) - fantastic solution to the last piece of room left in the eat part of the day. The selection is broad and the flavours are excellent. The reward is the smile on tiny faces.
