From the exterior this little restaurant doesn’t look much but don’t be put off. The menu is interesting & imaginative, a nice change from crumbed scallops, battered fish etc. Whilst it was dark when we were there, the view in daylight would be amazing. My...husband had mussels in a tomato & coconut milk sauce with chilli, delicious & perfectly cooked. I had Tasmanian salmon cooked in a soy & garlic sauce on a bed of Asian greens with rice, a delicious combination of flavours & perfectly cooked fish. Got a table at short notice, so we didn't expect to get one overlooking the water, but we still had a reasonable view as the restaurant is not large by any means. The food was excellent. As my wife ordered a seafood meal (which she...really enjoyed), I opted for a dish containing a grilled chicken breast. It was so beautifully moist (unlike anything I've ever cooked) I asked to speak to the chef after we'd eaten. He was only too happy to tell me his 'secret' and I look forward to trying it for myself. A surprise contact by a relative we hadn’t seen for several years, who happened to be travelling in the same area,so arrangements were made to meet for dinner at this restaurant. The only issue we nearly had was that my cousins wife brought in her...trainee guide dog and initially we thought there could be an issue. All turned out ok but as they said they would like to be forewarned, but when we made the booking we weren’t aware of the situation. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, the location is amazing no matter where you sit you have a view. We had some great dinners during our two weeks in Tasmania but this was the stand out . This was absolutely wonderful food . Sea food is hardto do really well and the team here are a really class act . The scallops in the...half shell were sensational . The main course of Blue Eye was really delicious and cooked to absolute perfection . The service was warm and friendly and the view is WOW . A full moon came up which added to the wonderful vista . Do not be fooled by the humble exterior of this restaurant . In side it is all class. highly recommended . Sea food is expensive but eating superbly cooked sea food is really a wonderful experience and well worth it .More

Tried to book in on the Saturday nite but they were full so we opted for Sunday nite and they gave us the pick of the tables with water views on 2 sides ! Everything about our 3 course meal was superb and the service...also exceptional . A must while in Bicheno ❤️More

We ate twice in this wonderful restaurant during our 3 nights stay in Bicheno. Both times were fabulous. We have eaten salmon and whitefish and both were extraordinary. The restaurant is not cheap but the price is worthy of the food.

Truly superb food with a good range of Tasmania wines on offer. The owners are clearly at work in the restaurant because the service is spot on but also friendly and humorous. There are non seafood options and vegan dishes available on request but if...you love seafood then tere are several days worth of beautiful options to choose from. A must, definitely in Bicheno, certainly on the east coast and probably Tasmania.More

We had dinner and enjoyed it so much we returned the following evening. It was new years and we did not have a booking but they were able to fit us in. Team is so friendly ( I think husband and wife) and the husband...is the funniest man in Tazzie. We all had different things over the two nights and all raved about everything we ate.. Make sure you pop in when in the area.More

We had a great meal at Sealife at Bicheno. We all had seafood dishes and they were all beyond expectations! The restaurant was busy the night we visited but the service was attentive, friendly and timely. I would thoroughly recommend Sealife for a great seafood...dinner when in Bicheno!More
