Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a gorgeous friendly historic pub out of the road. Lovely & quiet but very friendly. The roast lamb was very tender - Dorpa. Staying 3 nights - using this as a 3 day base to explore Killarney & Woodenbong then Warwick. Highly recommended.

Went there for dinner one Saturday night. The staff were friendly. But honestly the worst pub meal I've had. The fish and chips were stone cold. The salad was not fresh. It was as if it had been cooked 2 hours before hand and left...on the bench. Very disappointing for $23More

We have a new caravan and camped out the back for free in a large grassy area with basic showers and toilet provided. Kev and Kaylene were welcoming and friendly and remember our names. There is no chef on a Tuesday, but they provided us...with hearty dinners of pork spare ribs and delicious rissoles. Dessert was free, because it was leftovers from a function on the weekend, but it was the best trifle we had ever eaten.More

4 off us on a Friday night, expensive pre drinks, thought a steak in a country pub would be nice- wrong! Under cooked meat , verges that had turned a shade of grey and were falling apart, the garlic bread was good. City prices for...the food but just pig swill, ironically they hold the pig races there.More

It’s just a hop, skip and jump out of Warwick. It's also known as The Sandy Creek Hotel as it’s in Sandy Creek Road, Allan. It was recommended by a mate who had been there before and claimed their pizzas were world famous. A bit...of a stretch perhaps, but there you go. Sunday night is pizza night, so best way to find out for myself was to rock up. Took advantage of the free camping offer with the purchase of any meal and parked my caravan in the grassy area next door. An older style country pub with some memorabilia on the walls and I guess it has been there for yonks. Smallish bar, a dining area and beer garden. Host Kev was on duty at the bar, a very friendly and obliging bloke. He greeted all arrivals, wanting to know everyone’s name. That worked really well as he was able to introduce everyone to everyone else as they arrived and settled at the bar. Have never struck that in any country pub in all my travels. Nice one Kev. After a few drinks and a chat at the bar my pizza arrived in a pizza box even though dining indoors. Surprise, surprise a superb looking pizza. I had the Supreme. It could have been world famous as my mate suggested, certainly looked the part. And of course, Kev believed his pizzas were world famous too and with a cheeky grin, mentioned that several times. Self-promotion at its best. Of all the pizzas I have devoured over many, many years, maybe hundreds of pizzas, could be zillions, this one won the prize as having the most topping, masses of topping. And for me, the taste was spot-on. So much pizza I couldn’t finish it and took some back to the van in the pizza box. Everyone there that night had a pizza and without exception, raved about their pizzas. A few drinks and new friends at the bar made for a wonderful night. Unfortunately, unable to comment on their other menu items. So, trust me, as a pizza-holic, get yourself to the Darling Downs/Sandy Creek Pub on a Sunday night. World famous pizzas await.More

Stopped here for the night on our roadtrip. The inside bar area is very small. I didn’t enjoy my meal but it could of been because I ordered something I usually don’t order. Large Free camping area next to the pub. They had crab races...happening and music playing till midnight right next to the camping area . Luckily I’m a heavy sleeper so it didn’t bother me. It’s ok for a camping stop over.More

Karen, Kevin and Joel are the ultimate hosts for a fantastic night of pub camping. Park your van, camper trailer or tent at the back door and be treated to cold beer and wine, great meals, wonderful hospitality and a bunch of friendly campers and...locals. Can't recommend it highly enough! We even got a cooked brekkie in the morning.More
