Excellent value-for-money!

We ate there on our first day on holiday in Mooloolaba as the restaurant is situated in the Mantra Mooloolaba Beach complex. We thought the Chicken Cacciatore was just that but it turned out to be the "Pasta Special of the Day" ($16.00 each). The pasta was a superb fettuccine, with a delightful creamy sauce, and the chicken pieces were both numerous and tender. To top it off we relished our bottle of Giesen Pinot Gris ($36.00). The service was fast, friendly and professional and the al fresco experience on a sunny day wonderful below our shade cloth.

I would like to thank Melody and all the Staff for going Above and Beyond in serving an old favourite of mine that was not actually on the Menu. Thanks to all involved. It was greatly appreciated. Keep up the fantastic work and service. Not that we go out a lot, but you have got me as a regular customer. 12/10 from me..

Great team great coffee and so welcoming!

Melody's was a fabulous spot to have coffee and cake with friends. So much so, we went there 3 times in our 5 day stay at Mooloolaba! We don't eat big breakfasts usually so morning tea/coffee was our favourite time. Staff were lovely and the service was efficient and timely. Thank you all, and especially thanks to my friend Sally who recommended you! She goes there 3 times a week with her walking buddies.

Zero Customer service and brekky was below expectations

Zero customer service and lady who cleaned the table just came with super wet cloth and covered both tables in water and we had to get serviettes and make them dry. On top of that the rubbish brekky dish that was served absolutely bad mix of flavours and another lady who comes to tables to get feedback was given feedback and she absolutely did NOTHING and when she told another staff/her manager the manager just justified that this is what it is ... Absolutely zero on food and service. Biggest mistake and waste of time and space on Mooloolaba beach.

2 out of 3 meals not bad

Visited Melody’s after reading other reviews. Melody’s is located at the northern end of the esplanade and offers indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the Canadian pancakes which were fluffy and tasty, the ultimate breakfast which was a good size and enjoyable and a ham and cheese omelet which was the downfall of the dining experience. The omelet was thick and really dry with a couple of slices of ham and a slice of cheese folded into the middle. This spoiled our breakfast experience.

Nasty and Rude

I was their eating a lunch when a man and his two young daughters sat down at a table. They had bought something from another store and were told to leave by a staff member. Their was no-one in the restaurant but the staff member insisted they move. He went to the counter and was verbally attacked by the staff who then proceeded to give these two very young girls the finger and were swearing at them. The food there was average at best but after witnessing that debarkle I am never going back.

I have reported this post as it is a complete fabrication of the truth. This man swore at our staff in the presence of his young daughters. He did not eat at our restaurant. He has been banned from a number of restaurants on the esplanade due to his erratic behaviour. This incident has been reported to police awaiting his identification. I’m sorry that everyone has been exposure to such deplorable behaviour publicly. Kind Regards, Melody and the team

I had breakfast here 5 days in a row mainly because the food was excellent and the one staff member I came across was so very friendly and helpful. Her name was Liefee. She was always smiling and happy to help with whatever I needed, was always cleaning tables moving chairs and umbrellas into the shade for people and generally attending to the customers in a manner that was marvelous. Always cheerful and very lovely lady. The staff at the counter and inside the cafe were nice as well but this lady deserves a mention as she kept everyone happy with her charm and I believe its why the cafe was always busy and yet the ones around it are not.....Some days I had to wait for a table yet the other cafes around this one had plenty of chairs.....the food was quick and of great standard and the price is very reasonable. Coffee was great. I was not hurried along and was made to feel I could sit there all day if i chose to.

Best eggs benny ever

Was in Aus from the UK for a wedding and this place served up the best Eggs Benedict we’ve ever had. The hollandaise was 👌🏻 with perfectly cooked eggs and crispy flavoursome bacon. This all sat on perfect sourdough toast and a tomato chutney (I think) which sounds weird but was sublime. Staff were also lovely 😊

Good food, friendly service.

Enjoyed a delicious breaky burger and coffee here one morning. Initially I was “greeted” by a sour faced barrister who had less customer service than most fast food employees. But I then experienced excellent customer service from a younger blonde woman. She offered me water and checked up on me halfway through my meal (which was delicious).

Such a Gem

We had such a wonderful breakfast, the kids ate all their food and almost licked their plates clean! Vegan options were amazing. Portion sizes were huge and the value and quality for money were second to none. Staff were so friendly, we didn't to leave. Thank you

Yummy breakfast

Had Breakfast here on a busy Saturday morning. Wait staff were friendly and accommodating. DW had the usual eggs Benedict and I went for the corn, pea and sweet potato fitters. The chilli jam really made this dish. Coffee and bottled juice were both decent. Very minor criticism was the food could have been a little warmer. Tough to do with an outside table on a winters morning. We would return as there were a number of interesting items on the breakfast menu. Rob

Breakfast by the beach

This was an excellent place for breakfast with a large variety of options to choose from. Serving sizes were big and the coffee was good. Outdoor dining by the beach on a beautiful morning also added to the experience

Breakfast disappointment

Been going to Melodys for ages. Have the same brekky. Bacon, fried eggs, tomatoes , relish, green stuff, black sauce and plain toast. Always got 2 slices of bread toasted that is 4 halves. The other day there was only 2 half pieces. I asked the waitress for the other pieces. Go to the counter and pay for extra she said. The male owner wasn't interested so we don't go back.

By far the best experience we had at a restaurant or cafe in mooloolaba! The staff are genuinely nice , helpful & happy. The food was served quickly, great value & not only delicious but presented beautifully. Highly recommend!

Food nice, staff not so much

The food we had was lovely. The coffee was ok. From the get go the staff were rude and not very friendly. Even caught 2 staff members shaking their head and rolling their eyes at us. We asked to move 2 tables together when we got there and they looked blankly at us, we ended up just moving them. Then we had a couple more people arrive and we asked to move another table that's when we got the head shaking and eye rolls. We weren't asking them to move the tables we asked if we could. When they bought our food out they were just not friendly at all. Will not go back there.
