Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped on our way to Brisbane, my croissant was quashed in the press and looked like bread with ham and cheese. And as for the coffee it was bitter due to over extraction. I ordered a latte that was half a glass of milk froth....A latte has around 3 mm of silky milk not froth. My wife's iced coffee was overflowing otherwise it was ok. Never go backMore

We were spending the day in Goondiwindi during our trip from Melbourne to Brisbane, and it also happened to be my partner's birthday. We wandered along the main street and found The Larder. After mentioning it was my partner's birthday, the three ladies were so...kind and made us feel really special. We sat in a private little room at the back of the dining area. The food and coffee was lovely and we received a very friendly farewell and best wishes from the staff when we left. We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit in every way and will stop in again next time we travel through Goondiwindi. Thank you.More

Lovely coffee. The menu looks great but we wanted just toast which they made and it was lovely. Fast service. Young staff. Very polite. Clean. Popular with locals by the queue outside

This is the kind of cafe we love. The footpath was crowded with coffee lovers chatting while waiting for their morning takeaway fix. We sat inside, loved the coffee as it was well made. Decided to share a toasted croissant - yum - and a...chocolate brownie - double yum! The ladies were all happy to be serving us in this quaint little gem. Do not leave town without giving this a go!More

Great friendly staff, old school charm. Tick. Healthy food, hot drinks instead of warm. Big tick. A recommended stop by family members who had found this cafe on a previous trip. Well worth the embrace.

We stopped at The Larder on our way to NSW in search of a light breakfast. The Merlo coffee was great and the croissant and sandwich was beautiful. We walked up and down the street looking for somewhere to go for a quick meal break...and The Larder was the most inviting by far. Very busy coffee shop. Glad we found it.More

We stopped for a coffee whilst on the road. The Merlo coffee was very good and the chocolate brownie was dense and of just the perfect fudgy texture for our taste. The chocolate flavour was intense and obviously from excellent chocolate. We took away a...delicious pasta, greens and salami salad and a beef and beetroot relish Turkish bread roll for a later meal. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere in the simple cafe was cosy and charming. Highly recommended.More

I was so excited to see a cafe that sells Merlo coffee (my favorite) in Gundy on our recent stopover. It sure didn’t disappoint and my coffee was made to perfection. The cafe was packed inside & out, seemed extremely popular with the locals. Slices/cakes...were very tasty also. Sadly, I didn’t see any GF foods though. Will definitely be returning here for a coffee.More

I love coffee and seek out good coffee whenever we go travelling. This place is a great option in Goondiwindi. I had a soy flat white and my wife a capacino. Both were fantastic. Highly recommended if you like good coffee (and if you prefer...soy in particular). They use quite a rich Merlo bean.More

Nice little cafe with good coffee and simple easy food. Staff were willing to make toasted sandwiches for the kids even though it was not on the menu.
