We just wanted an ice cream as did another couple behind us. We waited patiently until the customers before us completed their meal order for fish ect.
I was standing at the ice cream end with my money ready , expecting to give my order...when another group walked in and she started taking their food order.
There was another worker but she was fussing with a mobile phone. When I called out” excuse me “ as did the couple behind me. The girl put down the phone and scrap of paper she was fussing with and served us with an annoyance to her persona. We’d bought an icream there the day before (Friday) it was served happily, it was a good size and fair for Dollar value. The unhappy experience purchase was a very small amount of ice cream .. I wondered after if it was a child size for same price and it was soft as if a problem with the fridge
What an annoying experience to buy a simple ice cream
I doubt we’ll be backMore

Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your experience. I would like to say that this doesn't sound like one of our staff; however we employ humans, and they do make mistakes. On this occasion we have not lived up to...More
We had the takeaway seafood basket for two and walked across the road to the beach and ate ours, such a beautiful outlook enjoying our lunch. The chips were a bit pale and not that good and the seafood was just average. The value for...money wasn't there.More
Great location and good food, the sandbar fish and chippery is overall a fine place to visit when staying in Bulcock beach, the kids meal was small but master 7 said the whiting was good, he probably should of had an adults size serve, Adults...food was on point, chips were a generous size, and the cod was cooked well, overall I would rate this a solid 4 out of 5More
On Boxing Day 2020 after recommending Sandbar to our son who was visiting, he ordered 5 pieces of crumbed reef fish and a large box of chips to take away. He waited 30 minutes which is fair enough on a busy day.
However unfortunately it...was the worst fish and chips we have had since moving to Caloundra three years ago. Have no idea what sort of fish it was but was rubbery, tough, tasteless and way over cooked. The chips were soft and horrible. We were very disappointed. We have had nice fish and chips here but will not be able to trust it again. PaulineMore
Not sure what oils they use but this was a pretty average tasting meal. the calamari was rubber. The cod didn't taste like cod. The chips were weird tasting. Pretty average fare and disappointing given its location.
Looking forward to GF duck salad but had stewed pears in the salad. Fresh Pears are plentiful & available & it is a salad not desert. Stredded Duck was chewy. Only nice was the rocket & spinach with goats cheese.
At first was impressed by the fact they had GF options for fish and chips but after paying $30 for 2 small pieces of fish and 4 oily calamari rings and odd tasting chips was not impressed. Got take away no wooden cutlery and $3...for a ramakin of tomato sauce!
After eating wife and I had gluten symptoms and I had sugar free gummy bears bums, could not finish meal would not recommend nor ever eat there again.More
The ham and cheese toastie was not good value for money. It was too expensive for a sandwich that was very small in comparison to what other cafes in the area offer. The 25 minute wait for the sandwich made the whole experience regrettable. We’re...locals and won’t be back.More
