Have walked or driven past many times and now I am so sorry we had not ventured in sooner. Everything here was perfect for us. The menu is exciting- so many different choices and the presentation is a feast for the eyes. We ordered the chilli crab scrambled eggs( my new fave dish ever) and poached eggs with hollandaise and bacon. The chilli crab scramble sets a new bench mark for me- there is the perfect balance of crab and chilli in the egg on a very good sourdough. The poached eggs came with lovely crispy bacon also on sourdough with great hollandaise and a tasty tomato relish. The coffee was spot on and the Ruby Tuesday juice a delicious blend. The decor is inviting, the staff welcoming and attentive and the food delicious. What more could you ask for!!!! We will be back.

White Picket Fence in Caloundra is a haven for foodies and coffee enthusiasts alike, along with some of the friendliest service I've ever had. Staff are genuinely lovely, their coffee by Cats Pyjamas is incredible and the food is to die for- all housed in a gorgeously decorated space fit for magazine pages. A MUST TRY if you're living on or visiting the Sunshine Coast.

White picket fence is a great spot for lunch. The service is friendly and quick and the food is fantastic and a little different. I had the karaage baoger (yep not a typo. A baoger is a fluffy soft white bun that is very nice) . This has fried chicken , lettuce, noodles, pickled ginger (wow factor) shallots, chilli, and kewpie Mayo. Very tasty and a little different. The show string fries were good too . The bride had the house deposit with a side of house smoked salmon. Not my cup Of tea but she loved it. Smashed avo on Turkish with shallots , pickled ginger, watercress and other green things . All in all a great find in the Main Street of Caloundra.

Given that we have read the great reviews, thought we’d try this place out. However, in hindsight, we probably should have gone elsewhere. The service was ordinary. Everyone around us, as they were shown to their tables were given water. We were not offered water, and had to ask. Placed our order for breakfast, the cappuccino came out after about 20 after we ordered, however, it visited 2 other tables before the waitress brought it to us. We also had to go back to the counter to ask for sugar for the coffee. My drink, a juice, came out a further 5 minutes later. And it was bottled juice, not freshly squeezed, which is neither here nor there, but a 20 minute wait for a bottle of juice?? Our breakfasts came out about 45 minutes later. We were not offered salt/pepper, we had to wave down a passing waiter to ask for salt/pepper, we also only received one napkin for the two of us, and asked for extra napkins as well. We ordered sides of bacon/hash. Considering the sides were $5.00 each, I was expecting a little more than 2 very small rashers on my plate. The hash on my plate was luke-warm at best, but being hungry I ate most of it! The eggs were nice. I’m sure the other food options are lovely, but after experiencing this, I really don’t know about giving these guys a second chance.

Sadly this place did not live up to the hype. We really wanted to love it! The venue is very cute and the staff are really friendly which is a big plus. The coffee and hot drinks are lovely too. However that’s where it stops. The chilli lobster scrambled eggs was seriously disappointing. I kind of wish I’d given the waiter some feedback but I didn’t want to sound rude. Dry, unbuttered toast, faintly chilli flavoured lobster and scrambled eggs that were the same as any other cafe (didn’t taste “buttered”). The pickle on top was weirdly sweet and I ended up leaving it off. A kind of strange, disjointed dish that could be vastly improved, especially for $23. Sadly we won’t be returning until the food is better.

Met a friend for brunch at 8:30, we placed our order. Her meal came out after 40 minutes and the waiter said that my order would be out soon, thinking it would be another 5 or so minutes. After waiting another 20 minutes, we asked again. My friend had finished her breakfast and ordered another coffee. My meal arrived 20 more minutes after that- poached eggs on toast plus the waiter bought out my friends meal again. We sent that one back. I understand when it’s busy, I’ve worked in cafes before. But I literally waited 1.5 hours for poached eggs on toast. I am uncertain if I will go there again.

My husband and I really enjoyed our first time at White Picket Fence. Unfortunately, when we returned the following day, we had a completely different experience. After waiting forty-five minutes for our food, my husband asked the staff about our order. While the staff were explaining that it was a busy morning, he noticed that our food was waiting at the pass window with a couple of other people's plates. It appeared the staff had not noticed that the food was ready or had forgotten that it was their job to take the food to the tables. It was clear our food had been left there for awhile, as it was stone cold when we were finally able to eat it. The family at the table next to us also commented that their food was cold. They sent their food back, which I wish we had been able to do, but we were very hungry and our baby was tired and cranky due to the long wait. The staff seemed to think this was acceptable, as when we explained that we had been waiting a long time, the waitess simply said, "It's been a busy morning. This is just what happens." Yet I have been in busier cafes and still recieved my food in a timely manner and at the appropriate temperature. We are very disappointed in this poor service, as the cafe has a unique menu and delicious food...when it is not served late and cold.

My husband and I are from Brisbane, but we visit Caloundra regularly, as our family have a unit near Bullcock Beach. We were very excited after having their breakfast for the first time on our most recent holiday. However, we returned the next morning on our way back to Brisbane and were very disappointed by the food and service. It was a completely different experience to the previous morning where the pancakes and french toast were served in a timely manner by a friendly server. They were warm and delicious. The next morning, we waited an hour for our meals and when my husband went to inquire about them, he saw them sitting on the pass window and the servers paying no attention. My avocado toast and his toast and bacon were stone cold. The people at the table next to us also experienced this poor attention and service. The staff did not even apologise to us for the wait. They seemed to think to was appropriate to leave customers to wait for an hour for their food without an explanation or apology. We were told that this is simply what happens when it is busy. My husband and I go out for brunch regularly and we have been in busier cafes and still recieved warm food in appropriate wait times. We would have returned our plates, but we were very hungry at this point and our 10 month old was getting bored and cranky. (He is a relatively easy baby and can normally be easily entertained for an hour or so when we are out for a meal. But as we waited an hour for the meal itself, by the time we finally recieved our food, it was time to take him home).

Well, I had a takeaway and breakfasts in a box are rarely as good as eating in. Let’s get that out there first. We are in the middle of moving, so I decided to get a couple of takeaway breakfasts from here. I ordered scrambled egg on toast with mushrooms and bacon with a large cappuccino and flat white. 60-odd dollars, so I was expecting something decent. The coffee was very good, not doubt but the food was definitely not. The ‘toast’ must have been done with a hairdryer; there was no colour whatsoever on it. Two,small pieces of white bread, topped with a fairly small portion of overly-herby scrambled egg, a few very sad, chopped mushrooms and they’d forgotten the bacon. It was probably the worst takeaway breakfast I’ve ever eaten; a trip to Maccas couldn’t have been worse and would have been a third of the price. While I don’t mind a few sprigs of herbs on the meal,as a garnish, the use of parsley and dill was a little overpowering and difficult to separate or remove as it was incorporated into the eggs; the wife gave up early. I ate the egg and the mushrooms but the white, soggy bread went into the bin. I’d say we were done within 90 seconds of starting. As I said earlier the coffee was great and the staff were lovely, especially the young lady on the coffee machine. I’m all for promoting small, local business but this was simply not good at all and the omission of the bacon was near-criminal (it’s bacon), the price was excessive for what we received and there was no seasoning whatsoever; at least give us a salt and pepper sachet so we decide ourselves if we need some. In fairness they were very busy (Saturday morning) and the food on the plates of those eating in looked good. My suggestion would be to eat in, when it’s less busy. The food looks far more appealing and maybe you’ll get that bacon you paid for.....twice.

Hi Paul. Thank you for visiting our cafe. We are so sorry to hear about your experience, as this is not up to our normal standard. We're glad you recognised & made comment to takeaway meals presenting their challenges. We apologise that our chefs must have missed your side of bacon & seasoning sachets --- and that you didn't enjoy your meals. However, we're glad you enjoyed your coffees and found our staff welcoming. It's unfortunate that you haven't contacted our cafe directly to notify us of your concern, as we'd have offered you a full refund & meal replacement immediately. Please feel free to contact us either via FB or instagram messenger & we can arrange this for you. Again, we are deeply apologetic that you didn't receive your takeaway meals to our usual high standards and we hope that you will visit again so that we can redeem ourselves for your last visit.

Very aesthetically pleasing but food was super average. Both our meals were served cold, crab scrambled eggs and eggs on toast with cold bacon. It was odd. Bacon was more like ham and it was just a bit of a let down. Coffee was nice tho.

Such a pretty spot, the styling and decor is gorgeous. Even whilst busy and all tables were full, we got our meals and drinks really quickly, I had the avo "House Deposit" and it is hands down the best smashed avo I've ever eaten! The sourdough bread was thin and light, unlike most other places that use huge thick pieces of sourdough that you can barely cut through let alone chew. And caramelised onion and figs on top are a revelation! I also had the best chai latte of my life there as well! We will definitely be back next time we are in Caloundra. It's also a great spot to take photos due to all the painted brick and decor.

Absolutely love the thought that has gone into the menu selections at WPF. The all day brunch menu is a great idea and gives a much better selection than he usual basic breakfast offerings in most restaurants. We visited twice in two days because the lobster scrambled eggs & granola were so good on our initial visit. Retuning the following morning we had to try the duck Benedict & in particular the beef short rib salad which was such a welcoming option for breakfast dining. The short ribs were one of the best meals I’ve had in a long while. The cold pressed juice was delicious and the coffees are easily the best in Caloundra. The staff were both very friendly (recognised us from the day before & welcomed us back) & professional. They also take great care regarding COVID 19 protocols which is comforting. Vey highly recommended ad looking forward to returning for the arvo tapas menu. Hats off to everyone at WPF & we will see yo again soon. ☝️

Sat right next to service window with partner and 4 year old, chef was loud and obnoxious. He was making really inappropriate comments and we could hear everything. At one stage an elderly woman walked in past the service window when the chef was saying something about women and she looked at him in shock. He rolled his eyes and apologised. When I asked for the mushrooms I ordered that they had forgotten with my breakfast he again rolled his eyes and made a snide comment. When the waiter returned she looked really uncomfortable and apologised for his comments. The food was ok, however really uncomfortable eating experience if you are sitting close to the kitchen.

The WPF is as inviting as it sounds. A copy atmosphere and surprisingly quiet open kitchen. A couple of issues the staff had to deal with did not dampen our experience. We had the eggplant chips, that the batter was slightly too oily for me, the octopus with pickled beetroot and grilled baby corn was delicious and finally the clams, well cooked and morish. The lemon and garlic sauce was a little too acidic, but well accompanied with the toasted ciabatta. Not large plares, but I would think their taster plates would be value. I'd visit again and have no problems taking friends

I just wanted a take-away cold pressed juice as was on the menu. Two were unavailable. I ended up with a supposed orange, apple and pineapple cold pressed juice. What I received for $8.00 was a medium sized plastic container with half ice and bottled juice. I drink fresh cold pressed juice all the time, and this definitely was not. Served up within a couple of minutes, and no juicer sound coming from the kitchen. The man that served me was also loud and impatient. Feel ripped off.
